Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Collado.
Nick, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Nicholas Collado. I am 20 years old and I was born in Boynton Beach Florida. I moved to Georgia when I was seven years old and played soccer all through grade school for many high-level teams and played for mason creek middle school and alexander highschool. I live in Villa Rica, Georgia. I went to college in Kansas for a year on a soccer scholarship and made deans list and AB honor roll. I dropped out because even though I did well in school, I felt it wasn’t for me and I didn’t not enjoy the school and the area.
I started playing guitar when I was 14 years old and have played ever since and always knew I wanted to do something with music. When I decided to drop out, I was determined to make my way into the music industry all while working a full-time job. My good friends Brennan Kato and Zach Ross both had the same vision but their key into the industry was photography and videography so we all work together. I have been doing this for about a year now. Some of my biggest credits are ReggiaBaybee, CocaVango, Luh Kel, Chris and FamousDebo and many more.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some challenges I’ve had is establishing my own connections and getting big artists to notice me, not being very big on social media.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I play guitar with music artists and make videos for social media. I also make melodies and work on beats on the side.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Most important lessons I’ve learned is network as much as possible and stay consistent!!!
