Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicolas Bailliache.
Hi Nicolas, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up surrounded by the hustle of my parents’ fishmonger business. They were entrepreneurs, and from the young age of seven, I was right there with them at the farmers’ market, helping sell fish. Those early experiences taught me the power of face-to-face selling and the importance of telling a compelling story to connect with customers.
As I grew older, I had the incredible opportunity to live across multiple countries, including various part of Africa and south America. Experiencing different cultures firsthand broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding of how diverse markets operate and the impact of cultural nuances on business.
These experiences laid the groundwork for my journey, eventually leading me to blend my passion for storytelling, technology, and commerce into what would become eStreamly.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in running eStreamly has been navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of live and video commerce. Adapting to new technologies while meeting the unique needs of mid-size e-commerce merchants in north America has required a delicate balance of innovation and practicality.
Another ongoing challenge has been ensuring that our platform seamlessly integrates with various e-commerce infrastructures, like Shopify, magento, bigcommerce, commerce cloud, and supporting clients who operate on custom sites. This has meant not only building a robust tech team but also constantly refining our offerings to stay ahead of the curve.
Despite these hurdles, each challenge has been a stepping stone, pushing me to innovate, adapt, and ultimately grow both personally and professionally to where I am today. The road is far from being smooth and many challenges are still ahead.
We’ve been impressed with eStreamly, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At eStreamly, we empower brands and retailers to transform their video content—whether it’s livestreams, product demos, or user-generated content—into seamless, shoppable experiences. Our platform connects video directly to checkout across your website, social media, email, and SMS, making it easy for viewers to buy while they watch.
We specialize in working with mid-size e-commerce merchants who are committed to leveraging video as a core part of their sales strategy. What truly sets us apart is our flexibility: we integrate deeply into existing e-commerce infrastructures, whether you’re on Shopify, BigCommerce, or a custom-built site. Unlike many solutions, we work with your payment system, your inventory, and your checkout process—no walled gardens.
We’re most proud of the conversion rates we help our clients achieve—often 10-15% from video, significantly above industry norms. But more than that, we’re proud of how we help brands build deeper connections with their audiences by making commerce feel more human and interactive.
For readers exploring how to evolve their e-commerce strategy, we want them to know that video isn’t just content anymore—it’s a sales channel. eStreamly makes it easy to tap into that potential and drive real results.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising that most people don’t know about me is that before diving into the world of livestream shopping and video commerce, I spent over a decade in the food ingredients industry, working with global supply chains and some of the world’s top brands. My background is actually in food engineering, which has given me a unique perspective on how to blend storytelling, technology, and commerce.
