Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikia Pope.
Nikia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was always a friendly girl growing up – always curious about what made other people unique and different. As I got older, I learned that I had a passion for impacting people in a transformational way. And one major way that I could do that would be through my mouth. I always have had what some say as a “gift of gab”, the ability to impact people with my words.
I decided a few years back to be intentional about the message and energy that I was putting out into the world, so I launched the Nikia Pope brand, which consists of a podcast titled “Exit Strategy Podcast” which you can find on iTunes, I create and produce video content on my video show titled “On Point with Pope”, which lives on my site Nikiapope.com. I offer digital products that help others discover their passion and purpose, in order to tap into their potential. I have some physical products launching in Quarter 1 of 2109. One of the best parts of my brand consists of my speaking engagements, I love the energy of being able to interact with others in personal intimate settings.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think that most things in life have its challenges, trial, and triumphs, so I haven’t had a smooth road, but I have had a transformational journey through the adversity, that has shaped me into the woman I am today. It was tough in some seasons, but I am proud that I made it through and develop skills + characteristics that will allow me to deal with anything that comes my way.
Some of my struggles included, developing unwavering self-confidence, sometimes when you are dealing with things that are tough, it can affect how you see yourself and your belief systems. When you are starting out you don’t know what you don’t know, it sometimes puts you at a disadvantage in situations. I have struggled with stepping out of my comfort zone, but every-time I did- I found something great on the other side of my fear.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Nikia Pope Empowerment Brand – what should we know?
My business is Nikia Pope Empowerment Brand – I am a Speaker +Strategist + Podcast Host + Content Creator + Consultant. I specialize in helping women get clear about their passions, in order to discover their purpose, and tap into their potential. I am known for being the “Purpose Pusher.”
I am proud that I get to help women discover that they have value as a person and that the world needs what they have to offer, and when they make a decision to share their gifts and talents, their world and our world becomes a better place.
One thing that sets me apart from others is my authenticity – I have always believed in being honest and transparent with others, it has allowed me to connect with others in a powerful and life-changing way.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe that self- belief is the characteristic most important to my success. Everything that we have or acquire externally first starts internally. I have to constantly believe in my ability to create what I wish to see, to do the things that I believe will impact the world in a major way. I know that I already have everything inside that I will need to do whatever I want. Therefore, I have to take care of my mind and be careful what I feed it.
How do I care for my mind + self- belief? I am intentional about what I saying to myself, what I am watching, what I am listening to, what I am reading, and the people that I surround myself with.
