Today we’d like to introduce you to Nova.
Nova, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started making beats around 2012. I got Fruity Loops from my uncle and kept making beats since then. At the time, I was just doing it for fun. It wasn’t until 2018 I decided to take it serious and make it a career. I was told about a studio called the Million Dollar Basement where I learned to engineer and making beats for people who came through. I signed to Arkatech Beats in February 2019 as a producer.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, there were some struggles. I would have feelings of doubt but I would quickly shake it off and get back right. But I think that’s normal with any creative.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I make beats. I feel I have a sound that’s in my own lane. When people ask who can I hear myself working with, I always tell them I don’t know I just know my sound is different from what people are used to hearing on a day to day.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
So far I’m most proud of being able to work with Lil Baby on his album “My Turn”.
