Twelve years ago, I was homeless, living in a Walmart parking lot with my wife and children. Determined to change our future, I enlisted in the military, using my enlistment bonus to purchase a fixer-upper. With less than $10,000 in renovations, I sold it for a significant profit, reinvesting into multiple properties.
From there, I leveraged rental income, annual tax returns, and a portion of my earnings to acquire more properties each year. Now, I own 76 properties, have secured homes for my sons, and am expanding into luxury and commercial real estate. What began as survival became a legacy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey was anything but easy, but God’s hand guided me through every obstacle. Financial struggles, unexpected repairs, and failed deals tested my patience. Some renovations drained my budget, tenant issues disrupted cash flow, and scaling my portfolio required navigating complex financing.
Beyond the financial and logistical hurdles, the mental battle was just as tough. Doubt crept in when progress felt slow, but I trusted in God’s plan. Through discipline, strategic reinvestment, and unwavering faith, I pushed forward. Every challenge became a lesson, every setback a setup for greater blessings. Now, I don’t just own properties—I walk in the legacy God ordained for me.
