Meet OLA

Today we’d like to introduce you to OLA.

OLA, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My journey started in Plainfield, NJ where I was born and raised. The area which I grew up was rough and heavily saturated with gang violence. To keep me and my younger brother away from trouble and out of the streets we were put in extracurricular activities in school where I discovered I thoroughly enjoy entertainment. I was in every school play and my love for entertainment graduated to me creating my own videos at home. I would upload my videos to YouTube and they started to receive a lot of traction.

After years of posting videos, it finally presented me the opportunity to travel to Atlanta to work consistently at the early age of 16. After a few months of traveling back and forth from New Jersey to Atlanta, my family and I decided that I should move to Atlanta to further pursue my career. I’ve been here in Atlanta since working to perfect and solidify my sound

Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. When I first moved to Atlanta at 16, I was extremely ignorant to the fact that MUSIC is a BUSINESS. In order to survive and not be taken advantage of you have to educate yourself. I signed some very bad deals due to this ignorance.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I run my operation with Bad Publicity Management and together we create the rollout for my music career. I’m responsible for creating the story behind music and concepts. Donte Rose helps me with shooting and creating the visuals for promo, music videos and films.

Brittany Larde is the PR of the company and oversees the flow of my social media presence. Anera Harrington works as the manager who looks for opportunities and events for me to be a part of. Together we have everything we need to create a great musical rollout which is what I’m most proud of.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years?  Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
In the next 5-10 years, I see myself as one of the staple/household names for r&b/hip-hop music. I expect to be touring the world and having my music supersede my wildest imagination.
