Hi Olympia , thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
Hello reader! I am Olympia Papageorgiou, a recording artist and a doctoral student studying clinical psychology. I decided to pursue two things I enjoyed and am interested in. When I am not in class or studying, I dedicate my time to recording music and releasing it so YOU can hear it!

What else do you use your platform for? Is it only music?
I do not only use my platform for music though that is the majority of my content. I also use my platform to share my father’s story. I was born on the island of Cyprus. Almost half of the island has been illegally occupied for decades at this point. My father was 17 years old when this war occurred and he agreed to share his experience on a podcast we call “Stolen Homes.” You can listen to his story on any podcast platform and help spread awareness about this event by sharing it with others.

What is your advice to indie artists about marketing themselves?
Indie artists should definitely share more than just their music! They should share what they stand for, their life and behind the scenes of the creating process of their songs. An audience wants to identify with a message, not just a good song. It’s important to be vulnerable with your audience but also to keep true to your boundaries.

How are you able to balance both becoming a doctor as well as recording music?
Time management and prioritizing things! I utilize my computer calendar, a paper agenda, the notes app on my phone and laptop and alerts. I always plug in everything that needs to be done in my schedule so that I do not forget about it. I try to split my day evenly according to what needs to be done to ensure that I complete all of my tasks!

What was a moment in your music career you almost quit?
When I was recording my single SALUD back in 2019. I really hated the first recording that I heard back. I felt as though maybe I should not sing anymore and that I was not worthy to sing as I hated what I was hearing. It turns out that the song itself was not complimentary to my voice because it was in the wrong key. I was able to change the key and go back in and then SALUD was born!

What do you find the most challenging about being in the music industry?
Keeping your peace and protecting yourself in addition to creating your own path. The industry can be complicated and difficult. It is important to find a couple of people you lean on and trust. The industry can also make you feel like you need to give all of yourself to it in many different ways in order to succeed. I think staying true to yourself and your boundaries is really important.

Thank you so much again for sharing all of this with us. Before we go, can you share with our readers how they can connect with you, learn more or show support?
