Meet Orey Ferrell of National Prep Football Association in Gwinnett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Orey Ferrell.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Orey. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve starting coaching football about 15 years ago, and I quickly recognized that there was a strong need for mentors in our community. This inspired me to create a company that promotes physical and mental well being through the vehicle of football. The discipline and mental toughness that you develop from playing this sport translates well in to other parts of life. I also witnessed many young men who loved the game left without a college home or a direction to go towards after high school. This too inspired me to add a recruiting department to my company. The focus on this department is to find the right fit for players at every level with the possibility of a free or discounted education.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been a number of struggles in this business, but I’ve been blessed overall. Without sounding cliche, God has truly led me down this path.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about National Prep Football Assoc – what should we know?
In general, the National Prep Football Association aka N.P.F.A is a sports marketing company. We are an online media outlet that covers youth and high school football nationwide. We specialize in identifying talent as early as middle school all the way through to high school. We’ve been very successful in identifying talented athletes, as many of them have gone on to become highly touted national recruits, college football stars, & we project several of them will be playing in the NFL within the couple of years. One of the things that I am most proud of is that we were blessed enough to be part of the journey. Whether they play in the NFL, become doctors, congressmen, coaches, teachers, etc. I’m proud to see so many of the kids we’ve come across getting a college education & possibly becoming our future leaders.

Also, we are the host of the Rising Freshmen All American game which features some of the best rising 9th graders in the nation, & we are the host of the Georgia vs. Florida High School Showcase All-Star Game which features the best Seniors & Juniors from the two states.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Some of my favorite memories as a child, growing up in Philly & New Jersey, was playing youth & high school football. Outside of the game itself, the brotherhood bond that you make with your teammates. Many of those guys are my closest friends to this day.
