Meet Ozzy Llanes of Cubanos ATL in Sandy Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ozzy Llanes.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ozzy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up in the Miami area, I ate great Cuban sandwiches all the time. As an adult moving to Atlanta, I have always been on the search for a true Cuban sandwich (or my humble opinion of such). Although there are some good ones around town, but I have yet to eat one that reminds me of my younger years back in Miami. I decided I would give it a shot myself, but I knew I didn’t want to run a full-blown restaurant. Being handy myself, I decided to go with something a little unique and build a Tiny House Restaurant. With that Cubanos, ATL was born.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Just like all businesses, there were/are struggles along the way, from getting permits to even getting materials to build the tiny house during a world where the pandemic has been tough. The outpouring of support has kept us pushing forward.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Cubanos ATL – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are Cubanos ATL. We specialize in the original Cuban Sandwich as well as some variations of the original. We also serve true Cuban coffees. We take pride in providing a true Cuban Sandwich from the bread we use all the way to the mojo we marinate our pork in. When you come to Cubanos ATL, you will get the True Cuban Sandwich experience, including top-notch customer service.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
With the outpouring support, we are looking to expand our presence across Atlanta for all to have a taste of the True Cuban Sandwich at Cubanos ATL. We will be adding a few other Cuban favorites in the near future so stay tuned for those announcements.
