Meet Paige Shari Addison

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Shari Addison.

Paige Shari, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia to a family of music. My father has been In music for over 30 years. Being apart of music programs like, The Dallas Austin after school program, allowed me to become close with Some of the artist that are relevant in the industry today.

The Dallas Austin after school program was introduced to me around my sophomore year at North Atlanta high school. Dallas Austin who is from Atlanta and doing something awesome for our community implemented it into a couple of the APS schools. The program was for musically inclined individuals that had a knack for this industry and it put me in position to build lifelong relationships with producers writers, artist, and engineers.

I went to college in Miami at Florida International University and received my Bachelors in Communications.

During my college years and just one month after graduation, I participated in a plethora of internships to help sharpen my skills. Working with the GMCVB (Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau), Puma through C.Luxe Creative, Viacom and Revolt Music Conference to name a few.

After graduation in 2016, I returned back to Atlanta. In pursuit to fulfill my dream of starting my own company. Being raised in Atlanta, you become engulfed in the black excellence entertainment world because it’s all around you. No, literally my next door neighbor was Kelly Price and two houses down lived Terrell Owens. So I knew greatness was around the corner for me! (Ha) Get it? lol

My first jobs were working with awesome companies and brands like Bossip and God is Dope then I took on managing an upcoming artist who I went to college with, Neila. She and I hit it off immediately and although I didn’t know much about management I was down to put my best foot forward.

Since I have been in Atlanta, I have been able to focus on me and my artist Neilà. Honing in on being a better host, manager and overall personality. Also being more active within my community. I’m looking towards an exciting year where I am aiming to start my own radio show.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being a woman in the industry and being black as well has had its own difficulties. Along with my experiences with being a young entrepreneur, and growing pains that have occurred with teaching me hard lessons.

Through it all, I keep my faith and stay persistent on my path forward.

My plan is always constant growth. Focusing in on growing my network to the radio and television world is something I plan to explore this year.

Expanding my concert series Strictly RnB to a multiple city tour.

Throughout all of this, really focusing on our plan for Neila as an artist. Launching more projects throughout the year with the opportunities that are presenting themselves and expanding her international market.

  • Starting somewhere is important but always look towards raising the bar and knowing when to. Initially it might require “free” work to get into the building but building your worth is important and so is building your portfolio. Once you’ve established a decent portfolio you can start putting a value on it. Also not forgetting to see the value in an opportunity regardless of the money, building relationships is a key tool.
