Meet Paris Gray

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paris Gray.

Hi Paris, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all started three short, long years ago. I treated myself to some roller skates for Christmas. I didn’t officially start skating until the summer of 2019 constantly. I got started due to mental health issues, I needed something to do clear my head while still being active. I wanted something to challenge my mind and body. So within my three years of skating, it has helped me develop becoming a young adult, lifetime skills, and always working with people. I am challenged every day, a lot of people don’t know but I am really shy, like its hard being social for me, so it’s forcing me to step outside my shell. I got where I am today by working hard, practicing literally every day, making sure I am eating right and drinking a lot of water. My parents kinda instilled in me that hard work will always pay off, always dream for the moon, and don’t dim your light for anyone. So without them, I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am today and for that, I am most grateful and thankful.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, some days I wanna give up, some days I get in my head like I’m not where I would like to be or where I am destined to be. Struggles for me are being social, trying to maintain healthy friendships, when all I want to do is skate and go home. I mostly struggle with being over-sexualized, also working and going to school while trying to chase my dreams.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am known as the model that roller skates. My goal is to skate for Beyonce’. I model, so with modeling I feel as if I can make everything look good and while you may be admiring my photos, you may not have known have I normally am I am own everything. My own creative director, photographer, videographer, manager, etc. I am most proud of my journey, I am most proud that whenever I set my mind to something, I invest into myself and learn how to accomplish and achieve my goals. I am set apart from others by being my creative self, staying humble and always shooting for the stars.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Never be afraid to ask for help, the journey gets hard, it’s very scary and sometimes lonely, but always trust the process. Show gratitude every day, pray every day, you’re stepping out on faith. Remember chasing your dreams isn’t always going to be easy, there will ups and downs. Every year may not be your year, clap and be happy for others while they’re having their year.
