Meet Parisa Hervani and Jenny Holding of Element Yoga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Parisa Hervani and Jenny Holding. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Though our story is rooted from our deep love of yoga, we also believe the body needs resistance training and functional movement. Parisa and Jenny both owned separate studios before the pandemic that didn’t survive the shut down leaving us both devastated but hopeful for another opportunity to bring our love for yoga and fitness to the Atlanta community. Parisa and Jenny met at a coffee shop in December 2020 to create a vision of what kind of studio we wanted to own. We came up with the name, Element Yoga, reflecting our core elements sweat, flow, and chill. Before they met in person, Parisa had previously looked at the market for a space that we could eventually open as Element Yoga in March of 2021. As Atlanta was beginning to re-open businesses, we were so grateful to have come into a community that supported our vision and became a part of the Element Yoga family. Just seven months after opening the Brookhaven location, Jenny and Parisa were approached by a fellow yogi that had knowledge of a studio that was available in Sandy Springs. In our vision, we not only just wanted to open a studio in Brookhaven but would eventually want to open a second studio in the future. We didn’t realize how soon that second studio would actually come to life. On December 5, 2021, Parisa and Jenny opened their second location in Sandy Springs off Hilderbrand Drive, expanding their mission to bring health and wellness to more communities in Atlanta.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest obstacle we have encountered was fear. We opened the Brookhaven location pretty soon after Atlanta began to re-open their businesses. We were unsure of how the yoga community would respond and because we both previously had to shut down our studios because of Covid-19, we never wanted to experience shutting our doors again. With courage, prayer, and passion, we have overcome that fear and lean on each other in moments of the challenges that come with owning a business.

We’ve been impressed with Element Yoga, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Element Yoga is boutique yoga studio offering group and private classes, workshops and retreats, coaching, and teacher trainings. There is a formula to each of our classes combining the elements of sweat, flow, and chill. We bring the science of heat, movement, breath, and meditation all into one class for a complete mind, body and soul experience that will leave you feeling strengthened, agile, and restored. With our holistic class structures and our varied class offerings, you can get everything you need for a comprehensive wellness routine under one roof.

In our Brookhaven location, we have two studio rooms, each set up for heated or nonheated classes with state of the art sound systems. Room A is mirror free, has ambient lighting, and is the perfect setting to tune out and tune in as our experienced teachers lead you through an unmatched yogic experience. Room B is equipped with barres, mirrors, and top of the line fitness flooring so you can push further than ever before. Brookhaven offers plenty of parking, over 13 different props for your use, mats and towels for rent, and one shower.

In our Sandy Springs studio, we have one heated room with hardwood floors, one wall of mirrors, state of the art humidifying, infrared, and sound systems, and a 24 foot long ballet barre. Sandy Springs offers plenty of parking in the rear parking lot, ten different props for your use, mats and towels for rent, and two showers,

What’s next?
One thing we both have in common is that we dream BIG. We want to continue to nurture and grow our current locations in Brookhaven and Sandy Springs and hope to be scouting a third location by 2022.
