Meet Parker Sack of Morningside

Today we’d like to introduce you to Parker Sack.

Hi Parker, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Born and raised in Atlanta, I started acting at the age of 12. Encouraged by my loving family and early success in the role of “David Parton” in the Coat of Many Colors franchise, acting became my main focus at this early age. I attended Campbell High School, and later New York University where I graduated in 2024 with a degree in Film and Television Production. This sparked my passion for screenwriting and production, which went hand in hand with acting. My feature writing debut “Open Up” is set to shoot in Los Angeles this February, where I will also be playing the lead role. This project is renowned actor James Tupper’s directorial debut, Executive Produced by Andy Fraser, co-led by Atlanta native Jessi Case, and Produced by Atlanta native and my best friend Olivia Frasco (who I met at Campbell High). My most recent credits include Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (filmed in Atlanta), Unstoppable (combining acting with my second love, wrestling), and Suncoast.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The arts are a very inconsistent field, where nothing is assured. There is no set pathway. Acting is a career filled with rejection, and it is hard for young people to grow accustomed to this way of life. Without the support of my friends, family, and mentors, I would have left acting years ago. There’s always going to be setbacks, like any line of work, but you have to lean on the people who are there for you. If you love it, every audition, or college writing assignment, or school play, it’s an opportunity to do the thing you enjoy. The outcome doesn’t matter as much as the chance to create something.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The main positions I fill on set are typically as an actor, writer, or producer. Occasionally, I work with stunt teams as well, primarily in fight choreography. I am best known for my acting work, but hope to make a similar impact with my writing and producing projects in the coming years. I am most proud of co-founding two production-oriented businesses in 2025. The first is Praetorian Pictures, the production company that is spearheading “Open Up”. The second is Film School Rentals, a film equipment rental company that caters to students and recent grads, offering a 30% student discount.

How do you think about happiness?
My dogs. Training Jiu-Jitsu. Going to the gym with my dad. Grocery shopping with my mom. Playing golf with my brother. Doing bits with my sister (at the expense of my brother). Playing video games with my roomate. Watching movies. When the Falcons, Hawks, or Braves win. Having dinner with my grandparents. Vacations with my friends. Writing till 3am. Stepping on to set. And sometimes just being outside. I’m a simple man.
