Hi Patrice, so great to have you join us again. For folks who might have missed our earlier conversations, can you please take a minute to briefly introduce yourself?
I AM Patrice Canty and I produce faith based clothing!! I work within my community by curating uplifting, empowering, and motivating events.
What does your brand Purposeful Apparel mean to you?
Purposeful Apparel means operating in your God-Given PURPOSE, to choose HIS Purpose over your life rather than your own preferences. Everything we do in the confines of our life should have purpose and intentionality in it. When you put on an item of my clothing or accessories the goal is to make you feel empowered and motivated to become who you are ultimately destined to be.
What type of community work do you do with Women IN Purpose Inc?
With Women IN Purpose Inc we do empowerment and family bonding events, such as: “A Mother’s Pearls, A Big Hat Empowerment Brunch” and here we bring together our women and girls in a safe space to promote unity, understanding, and bridging the gap between generations. We also have an, “Sis, Let’s Be Intentional” event which sets women on fire to be intentional in their walk in life and showing them that every area of our life should be pursued with intentionality. We also conduct various breast cancer and my Sisters Crown photoshoots.
Has the journey been easy to find your purpose?
The journey has not been easy to find my purpose! I have experienced many setbacks, I have doubted myself numerous of times on if this is the space that He has ordained me to operate in, but when I THINK that I am no longer being effective He creates a moment to pull me back in, He won’t allow me to give up on myself and I’m so thankful for that. Honestly, we have many different purposes, so we will always be on this journey to discover what we are supposed to be doing. Sometimes the space that we are operating in is seasonal, so once that purpose is fulfilled it is time to move on to your next assignment.
