Meet Patricia Johnson of SEO & Biz Hub in Roswell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Johnson.

Patricia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
About 4 years ago, I decided to build an Entertainment Website. I called around and received so many ridiculous prices, $5000, $3000, $1500 and so on. I was in disbelief and lost because I was not in a position to spend that type of money, So I just let it go for about 2 months, then one day, I decided I was going to teach myself.

Now I won’t say building my first website was easy and yes, I cried a few of those nights, but I got it done. After that, I built a few more websites for myself, plus started building sites/blogs for other people. It really felt good.

As time went on, I started doing a lot of Social Media Promotion for artists, Search Engine Optimization/Marketing for companies, blogging on business/politics/entrepreneurship, radio, selling my Stop Da Hate T-Shirts and interviewing. But the one thing that gave me the greatest feeling was doing Search Engine Optimization and Marketing. Being able to help others in areas that takes certain skills the average person doesn’t have, is amazing.

And 4 years later, here I am with the creation of SEO & Biz Hub, LLC.

Has it been a smooth road?
No it has not been a smooth road at all. Missing out on money, quitting my main job to have time to learn the skills to become an expert in my industry, put a big dent in my quality of life. But I still remain positive. I lost my best friend because I could not free up any time to spend with her. I lost many associates and family members because I just could not free up any time for them. I sacrificed my personal life and starved myself from any entertainment to devote all of my time to my business. I was learning, working and building and I just couldn’t allow any distractions to interfere. There have been so many lonely nights, but I just keep working.

I gave up material things on purpose cause I felt being uncomfortable and taking nice things away I was used to having, would make me work harder and it actually did. If you are too comfortable, it makes you settle and lazy.

Being a Woman-Owned Business and being African American is another struggle. You have to prove yourself 10 times more than others. You don’t get the credit you deserve. But that has changed so much for me, but I put in soooo much time and work to show people I have skills and I am about business.

The Entrepreneur Road is real, you lose a lot friends, associates and family while building your business.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with SEO & Biz Hub – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My company is called SEO & Biz Hub. We specialize in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Digital Marketing. I help companies achieve in getting more traffic to their websites at a very affordable price. I also create WordPress Websites, offer Social Media Marketing Programs and Website Management. I also offer free Website SEO Audits to any company that ask for one. Search Engine Optimization is my specialty. What we do is really building the company’s Online Business.

I wanted to build a company that specialize in providing SEO Services for Small Businesses and Startups. Many of these companies cannot afford the average SEO Cost because the prices are just too steep for a new business.

I also blog on entrepreneurship, business and offer free SEO Tips for the Advanced Marketers and the DIY savvy SEO customers.

I am most proud of being able to help companies all around the world with my expertise and seeing them happy makes my day. I am so proud of not giving up when the doubters thought I should.

I am so proud of being looked at as an influencer in my industry. I am so proud of when other SEO Experts come to me for advice about their projects.

What sets me apart from other companies is I actually care. It’s not all about a dollar. I don’t do what I do with the intent of getting rich. I do what I do to help businesses who cannot afford high SEO prices get their companies up and running. We all know that it’s becoming almost imperative to have your business online…many will be left behind because they can’t afford the cost. The fact that I can contribute my skills to companies that need it the most, here is no greater feeling…

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I love best about Atlanta is seeing and meeting so many entrepreneurs, especially women. This is so refreshing and that feeling alone makes me thrive more. It makes every day worth waking up to. I also love the diversity in the city. I love meeting different types of people. I love the fact that there is always something going on in Atlanta. I have joined soooo many Entrepreneur Groups since I moved here. It’s just so much business support. Being able to go to Business Events almost every day of the week, including weekends, is like heaven…. Well not exactly heaven, lol, but close.

I really hate the traffic and the fact that everything is just so spread out. The Atlanta traffic can drive you crazy. And the cost of living is pretty expensive in the better areas. If you don’t have money in Atlanta, you will suffer. You will suffer financially and even entertainment-wise cause there is always something to do you may be interested in attending…

This is such an inspirational story! I personally know Patricia, and feel that she has gravely minimized the struggles and sacrifices that she’s made, and overcome, in order to be in the position that she’s in today. I’ve recently told her, how much I admire her drive, independence, and will to step out on faith, to a whole new state, with no job, home, and limited resources. I would likely end up standing in traffic holding a cardboard box made sign, that reads, jobless, homeless, hungry, please help:) And here Patricia is, already making moves, implementing her goals, rising up to become the great entrepreneur that I’ve always known she would be!

    Keep rising PJ😀,

This was an amazing interview. I am extremely proud of Patricia. I’ve known her since we were teens, I’ve seen the struggles that she’s had and the drive that she has. She Never gave up on her dreams and/or goals. She is definitely someone who has shown me that hard work, dedication, and persistance will pay off. I am so proud of you Patricia and I look forward to seeing more of you.
