Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Thompson.
Hi Patrick, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Just In Time DJ started in 2007 by when I was 16 years old. “I started around the event industry doing catering, bussing tables and serving food. While at these events, I noticed how people interacted with the music and DJs. The DJs that I saw were not as “into the guest” as I thought they should be, there was a disconnect. As I went to many events, I started to realize that this is something that I have a passion for and I wanted to change the way djs operated in my area. School dances in my area were also not at all set to high standards. The dj’s did not have or know the music that we wanted, the lighting was not at all a ”cool”. A lot of times we made the best of it because we brought the party wherever we went. I asked around looking for speakers. Someone from my church gave me two old speakers from Radio Shack that I had to then go buy an amp speaker cables and it started from there.
I have been around music all of his life. Open Format DJ/MC/Entertainer who has DJ’d & MC’d in several different states including California, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina also out of the country in Cabo San Lucus and Cozumel Mexico. Even on the seas with Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships. The party scene in the West Georgia & Metro Atlanta is very different from other cities. Every crowd I play to is unique and very different, pushing me to spin all sorts of music. Each night has its own influence on what or how I play, making me the DJ I am today which I want to get better and better every event I do! I love everything involved with being a Disc Jockey. Dancing is what I love also. My crew and I know a lot of the top dances that will get you going! It’s a tough job sometimes, but I will do my best to make you happy. I want your party or event to be one of the best days of your life. I will provide you with any help that you need. I relate very well to all cultures.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has been a lot of ups and a lot of downs. I feel like I’m a firefighter every day! From staffing needs to our clients, to equipment. Everyday is Something different!
Funding everything myself, one piece of equipment at a time. I made it Work.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Best memories were the birthday parties my mom would let me throw at the house. I always loved people. Being around family and friends and also being the one who got to see everyone having a good time. Every year we would have the biggest end of the year parties before school started back. Ending the era 2010, the year I graduated we have the biggest party which the whole neighborhood was filled up with cars coming to my party. Ending with a huge fireworks display that was better then the one our town did.
