Today we’d like to introduce you to Patty Jones and Beth Mannella.
Urban Renewal was opened in June 2011 by Patty Jones and Starr Lindsey, two best friends from Wheeler High school. After leaving the Navy, Patty learned from her partners in Fairhope AL how to run a consignment store. She then ran her own successful consignment store in Daphne AL. When the opportunity arose to move back to Marietta, she knew her concept would be successful here as well.
Beth Mannella became co-owner of Urban Renewal in early 2018 when Starr decided to retire. After years of volunteering in a myriad of roles centering around her children, Beth wanted to re-enter the workforce on her own terms. She had worked as an employee of Urban Renewal for two years and jumped at the opportunity to join forces with Patty in running the store she loves.
UR has a wonderful following in Marietta and surrounding areas. We love to give back to our community with donations to Must Ministries, Marietta City Schools, and others. We also like to have fun and sponsor quarterly Ladies Nights. We look forward to continuing the tradition and expanding our clientele. The store will be undergoing a renovation in early 2019 and will be offering appointments with our own personal stylist as well.
UR is also fortunate to employ a wonderful staff whose mission it is to provide an excellent customer experience.
Has it been a smooth road?
Yes, thanks to our wonderful consigners, customers, and employees, Urban Renewal has become well known and well loved in the community. We continue to enjoy hearing compliments in some of the strangest places/situations. Whether at the dentist, Christmas party, church or during my breast exam we have been told how much women enjoy UR.

We specialize in name brand/designer women’s clothing, shoes, and handbag consignment. We are known for our curated selection of high quality very gently used items. We like clean, current and cute clothing no more than two to three years old. Our attention to the customer experience keeps customers coming back again and again.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We love the variety of personalities found in our area. Our customers range in age from 14-90 and come from all parts of the country and all walks of life. That makes every day special and unique. It also makes our selection of merchandise a great mix as well.
