Peiru Kim is a Georgia Tech graduate with over a decade of successful corporate real estate development career. After many years of traveling across the United States, she decided to return to her beloved hometown of Atlanta with her husband and son. With a passion to serve others, she found her calling of providing the best nail and beauty experience in Atlanta. Sugarcoat was founded in 2005 in its first location on Pharr Rd in Buckhead by two amazing women, Peiru believed in the concept and purchased the store in 2010. Sugarcoat is dedicated to provide a chic and modern nail and beauty service at an affordable price for all. With the help and support of the hardest working team members and loyal clients, Sugarcoat now has three locations to serve the residents in Atlanta.

Our goal is to provide the best nail and beauty experience at the most affordable price without compromising on product quality or cleanliness. We are dedicated to providing the most sanitary nail care services available. New clients receive a complementary personalized pouch of non-metal tool kit – nail files, buffers, toe separators, pumice stones, etc. are never shared! The kit is yours to keep – just bring your mani-pedi pouch with you on your next visit to Sugarcoat. All metal clippers, nippers, and pushers are soaked in barbicide at least 20 minutes after each service and are then baked in a hospital grade heat sterilizer an additional 45 minutes. Tools are presented to the client in a sealed pouch before each service. This extra step goes above and beyond requirements of the State Board of Cosmetology.
Due to a potential risk of bacteria that can be carried in the pipes and filters of whirlpool and massage pedicure chairs if they are not cleaned properly in between clients. That is the reason Sugarcoat has a custom-built pedicure thrones with porcelain sinks and fresh running water at each location. NO filters and pipes to recirculate bacteria. After each service, the sink and surrounding area is cleaned with hospital-grade cleanser and sanitizer.

Atlanta is truly one of the best cities in the America. We are lucky to have four seasons, beautiful parks and gorgeous suburbs, amazing restaurants and best of all, low cost of living compared to other major cities.
