Today we’d like to introduce you to PJ Peterson.
PJ, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m the CEO/PUBLISHER of SO BE IT MAGAZINE. I am also the published author of MEN WANT TO EXHALE TOO, a motivational speaker and an event & radio host, relationship consultant and a member of ΩΨΦ.
Being a radio personality and an event host graduating from my university, the Fort Valley State University. I built a plethora of networking bridges and relationships in the entertainment industry. Also, being a motivational speaker and a published author of my book, Men Want To Exhale Too, opened a lot of doors to a great number of beautiful women and their intellectual insight. With all of these ingredients thrown in my personality pot of characteristics, accomplishments, and charisma. I decided in 2010 to start my own magazine that would display not only the most beautiful ladies that I would love to glare at, but hot new music artist, DJs, night clubs, and urban photographers. Starting then as just a digital magazine, I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Kitty Kennedy of Louisiana. Single-handedly, she helped me improve, revamp, and introduced me to the world of print publication and distribution. Also she blessed us with the honor of gracing the cover for my first print edition. From that point, I went from soliciting females to be in my magazine to today having the most gorgeous women in the world email, DM, and directly contact me to just be considered to get a feature in the magazine.
Has it been a smooth road?
I must say the transition from then to now has been very smooth. I owe that to my team. My right-hand man and Vice President, Ashton Moreland or AA as we call him plays a very significant role. He is more behind the scenes but I don’t make a move without him. We are like Baby and Slim of Cash Money, they see me and know me, but I am nothing without my partner. Also, it is the work of what I feel are the best photographers across the map My day ones, who helped pave the way to success with their brilliant ocular vision and skills, are a significant reason this paramount of quality has been smooth. A great collective group residing from the Atlanta area Lorenzo Smith, from New York, Caliber Photos and Alx Guzman, and from Miami the Studio Marz. Since then I have acquired the work of more greats like Jermaine Alexander from California, Polo Gibson, and Himoverthere Studios out of Chicago, JackD from Texas, King Bravo of Florida and many more. Each of my photographer’s work is impeccable and a model must book a shoot with them in order to even be considered to be published in SO BE IT MAGAZINE. The only struggle is when a model flakes. It’s very frustrating to plan a shoot and then no show or late or not even hearing from them at all.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with SO BE IT MAGAZINE – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.

What sets SO BE IT apart to me is our pride in the quality we produce. It’s not just a magazine with half-naked women and ass, no not at all. We have themes, we have intellectual interviews, we visit places, we provide customer care for our featurettes. When you open a copy of SO BE IT, you will say wow, I really love this.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the fact that in Atlanta there are so many opportunities for every avenue of entrepreneurship and networking. I hate that a lot of times people hate on others not even really knowing anything about them or their product/business. Crabs in a barrel mentality is hindering us from being more successful than we are. You get more love and support from those who don’t know you as oppose to the one’s that do.
