Today we’d like to introduce you to Quentin (Q) Harris.
Quentin, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
How I started out in the entertainment industry would be about three years ago moving to Atlanta! But prior to moving I always had a love for the arts, I was always singing in the choir or always being in front of a crowd & I always wanted to be an entertainer. I was attending Shaw University in Raleigh NC & one day I received a call from Tyler Perry & I left Shaw U. & I haven’t looked back. I’m currently on the radio on 107.7 & I landed that deal through Jermaine Dupri one night at an industry party. I’m so grateful for where my career is. I’m currently a new author, new reality star (two shows), Radio Personality & much much more!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being in the entertainment industry has NOT been a smooth Road. Moving to Atlanta, I knew it wouldn’t be a smooth road but I never thought I would endure things such as losing friends (close friends) & losing personal things that belonged to me. Having to double up on jobs just to stay afloat, so it has not been an easy road by far!
Quentin (Q) Harris, Actor, Radio Personality, Host and Author – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Well, I actually wear several hats which I previously started in an earlier answer. I’m a Radio Personality, author, host, actor, new author & reality star! I can’t answer the most proud part of my company or accomplishments I’ll just say I’m proud of myself period. I’ve moved to Atlanta & have had many dreams, goals & aspirations & I’ve accomplished way beyond I could ever imagine. What sets me apart is the fact I will not be outworked. We live in Atlanta there are a million actors & models & media personalities but what sets me apart is the fact if I put the work in & will not be outworked. I’m a hustler & I juggle multiple positions & I’m always trying to find ways that set me apart from my peers & which is why I became an actor & wrote a book!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career was probably recently when I went to my hometown (Raeford NC) & I has a book signing & the entire city came out and showed me support. Granted I’ve worked with Tyler Perry & Have interviewed some A-List celebrities but. U proudest moment was to see my old teachers & mayor & county commissioner & etc. just stand and tell me how proud of me they were when I had a book signing of my newest book. “The Dream I Chose To Chase”
