Today we’d like to introduce you to Quintin Bradley
Hi Quintin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
So I’ve always been into music my whole life. I was on the band back in high school & I started to take that serious up until I graduated. After that I moved to Atlanta in 2020 to focus on what I wanted to do in life. I didn’t necessarily have a plan, I just got up and left. I worked a few jobs like amazon & the airport for about 2 to 3 years. While I was working those jobs, I was on my phone making beats “not taking it serious at the time”. One day I sent out one of my beats I made on my phone to an artist I met on instagram named “Solodahoncho”. He made a song to it & it got placed on the nba 2k21’s main soundtrack. After that I started taking producing tracks very serious. I started networking like crazy trying to get more people on my beats. I was going to different producer events in Atlanta trying to get my name & face out there. I went to one producer event in the west end of Atlanta at a studio called Muziq Headz & they treated me like family. After that I started rapping to my beats on my phone because nobody else wouldn’t make tracks to them. That kinda motivated me to start rapping instead of making beats for other people. I changed my style of beats & that caught a lot of local rappers attention. I started back making beats for local rappers again & I started making a name for myself. I was promoting myself while I was at work by telling everybody about me doing music. I was opening a lot of doors while I was working jobs. In January 2024 I met this rapper named “Facts” while I was working at amazon & he opened a lot more doors for me in this industry, He really taught me how to network more & he was connecting me with people that I would’ve never expect to meet or work with. I took off after that by getting a lot of placements with rappers & having a lot of label meetings & etc. While in the process of that, I went back to the same studio I had the producer event at for a recording session. While I was there I connected with the owner of the studio & started bringing a lot of artists there. I started learning how to engineer, mix, & master songs during that time & that opened even more doors. By April 2024, I decided to never work a job again & just take everything serious. Now I’m known around Atlanta & looking into being known all around the world.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It most definitely was a rocky road to say the least. I struggled dealing with losses, not being motivated at all because people always told me that I wasn’t gonna be nothing in life. I also was dealing with a lot of depression, stress, anxiety etc. But that’s life either you keep going or you just give up. I wanted to give up so many times but I kept pushing & pushing myself to become what I am today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a music producer, a songwriter, an engineer & an artist. I mainly specialize in producing for right now. I’m more known for my beats because they are so unique & it’s a different sound than anybody else’s. I want to bring a new sound into the industry, my beats are mainly hype tracks but still have soul to them. I’m most proud of how I kept going instead of giving up. Music really saved my life if it wasn’t for me picking up my phone & wanting to learn how to make beats, I probably would’ve been in jail or in the grave honestly.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I wish I knew how to make beats much sooner instead of trying to be in the streets. To everybody the streets don’t love you do something that can set you up for life. If you’re just starting out you need to just keep working keep networking. Don’t get comfortable always do something different everyday even if it makes you uncomfortable. Learn how to take risks, I took a risk by quitting my job & start taking music seriously.
