Meet Rachel Davenport of The Davenport Group in Woodstock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Davenport.

Rachel began selling real estate in 2006 and has closed over 500 transactions as a single agent in her career. Rachel was able to not only survive, but thrive during the historical recession of 2010 by changing her business model and focusing on foreclosures and short sales. After the economy rebound Rachel was able to close on 68 properties in 2015. In 2016 Rachel joined Keller Williams Realty Partners in Woodstock and formed The Davenport Group, brining on her amazing administrative extraordinaire and her first buyer’s specialist, which resulted in closing on 73 properties.

She now has three buyer’s specialists, two administrative assistants, and a business consultant who uses his background as an international project management consultant to focus on long term growth, strategy, and anything IT related. What sets the Davenport Group apart from any other real estate group in Atlanta is the finely tuned processes and procedures they have in place that makes any client, from a first time home buyer to a multi-million dollar vacation home buyer, realize they are the most important client in the world. This lead to Dave Ramsey’s endorsed local provider program to ask Rachel to join their local program. While Rachel is known to cover from Buckhead to Blue Ridge, she has gone as far north as Young Harris to help anyone find their dream home.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some of the struggles I have faced along the way include a temporary move to Boston which resulted in starting over in 2011, rebuilding my business from the ground up. This came at the end of the recession, which resulted in many of my competitors in Georgia leaving real estate to focus on new careers. Over the last four years I have also undergone three major surgeries. However, each time I have a temporary setback physically, it allows me to take the time to envision the next level of business I plan to achieve and conquer. While some people would look at these as events as setbacks, I have been able to use this time to reflect and come back stronger than ever!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Davenport Group – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
The Davenport Group focuses on real estate primarily from Buckhead to Blue Ridge, but can cover anyone’s real estate needs that are within the Georgia MLS or North Georgia MLS. The Davenport Group focuses not only on residential but commercial real estate as well. The Davenport Group’s motto, “We Can & We Will” is what they are most well known for. Every member of the Davenport Group has a very specific role to make sure our customers realize they are the most important customer and nothing falls in the cracks. The Davenport Group also has events several times throughout the year to thank all of our past clients for choosing to work with us rather than any other firm.

I believe in my team and to show how important they are to me I constantly invest in my people through ongoing education, company sponsored trips to the largest real estate conferences in the United States, monthly contests with prizes, and team events outside of the office that align with our “work hard, play hard” mentality. What the Davenport Group takes the greatest pride in is that I won Keller Williams “Shooting Star of the Southeast” three months after joining KW. Being recognized by the world’s largest real estate team for the South East is a major accomplishment, but having this recognition in only three months is something to definitely take pride in!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
After closing on $12 to $14 million in real estate each year The Davenport Group set the Goal of closing on $25 million in 2017 and is currently on path to reach that goal. The Davenport Group currently has a staff of three buyer’s agents, two administrative assistants, and one consultant. The goal for 2018 is to have a staff of five buyer’s agents, two administrative assistants, one inside sale’s agent, one consultant, one listing specialist, and one lead listing specialist along with sales of $35 million. Once the Davenport Group has reached sales in excess of $50 million annually, ideally in the next three to five years, there is a desire to open up a new Keller Williams expansion office using the proven methods that have propelled The Davenport Group to where it is today.
