Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Guy.
As a young widowed mother, Rachel moved with her two small children to Florida. Engaging in a prosperous career, she met Jason Bailey during this time… with many, many years of experience in customer service as the General Manager of a restaurant in Florida and a fantastic Radio career for him. We had the opportunity to move to Atlanta for Jason to Host Bailey and Southside on Rock 100.5. In our move to Atlanta, Jason has encouraged and helped to support a fantastic career change for me. Real Estate allows me to assist families in finding the perfect home to raise their babies! I couldn’t love what I do more! Each client is different and has their own purpose… I am blessed to join their journey. Atlanta is rich with culture and exudes southern charm. We are happy to call Atlanta home.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are struggles with any career… I found the most challenging to be in a brand new city, knowing absolutely no one. This makes you have to get creative and work that much harder in obtaining new clients. I have had great opportunities for mentoring, which have made a world of difference.
Please tell us about Rachel Guy, REALTOR- with Palmer House Properties & Associates.
I am absolutely known for my patience. When you are working with a family to buy a new home, whether it be their first home or fifth home, it always requires a good amount of heart. The same goes for when helping sell a home. Most often there is an emotional attachment to the home they have had many firsts in… if you bring yourself to a human level and understand how any person feels about and through a particular process, it makes a world of difference. My clients always compliment on my process and how I work well with everyone. I take pride in my work and keep all my clients close to my heart.
I work closely with the Atlanta Police Foundation on a fantastic project. The Secure Neighborhoods Initiative. We are building new construction homes in the Red Zones. I work with the absolutely AMAZING Officers to become home buying ready. I help the Officers purchase these new construction homes built by Pulte. The Officers are not only purchasing new homes to raise their families, but they are actively participating in the local community to create engagement and positive Police presence within their new home neighborhoods. The number of incredible human beings/Officers I have worked with is impressive. As a City, we are lucky to have so many caring Officers who not only put their lives on the line during work hours but who also come home to care and make their community a better place.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memories have grown to be not of my childhood, but of my children’s childhood. Every single time my son’s big bright eyes look up at me (and now down at me because he’s 6’4), it makes my heart smile. He has always been so brilliant and curious about the world. And my daughter who is afraid of nothing and lights up the world with her kindness. They inspire me to be a better person and strive for the best.
