Today we’d like to introduce you to Rap So Wavy.
Rap So Wavy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started out making music in 2004.
I started out rapping on instrumentals and soundclick beats. I wanted my own sound so I started making my own beats. I made a song with Soulja Boy titled Girl U Stank (Take a Bath) which has over a million YouTube views and was the #1 song on SoundClick for over a year. I’ve worked with a few different other artists as well on the production side such as Currency, Young Dro, & Slim Dunkin (R.I.P) just to name a few. Over these past years, I’ve just been perfecting my craft and continuously working on new sounds every day. I just recently released my first solo project title “ Different Flavor” which is available on all media platforms and currently working on my 2nd project “Too Much Flavor” which will drop very soon.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’s been some ups and downs but I manage to stay positive and continue working to reach my goal.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m primarily an artist (rapper). I write all my own songs, I produce my own beats. I also do all my own recording and engineering and I do my own mixing and mastering. I go by the rap name “Rap So Wavy” and Producer name “Lil Rap.”
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Working on my music every day to perfect my sound.
