Meet Randall Ray of Randall Ray Coaching & Consulting | Pet Ready

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randall Ray.

Hi Randall, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My path to entrepreneurship hasn’t been linear, if anything, it’s been a series of pivotal moments that pushed me toward work that feels meaningful, mission-driven, and deeply aligned with who I am.

For nearly a decade, I built my career in Corporate America. I worked hard, climbed ladders, and did everything I thought I “should” do. But over time, the burnout, the lack of fulfillment, and the feeling that my time and energy weren’t my own became impossible to ignore. The turning point came in late 2023 when my soul dog, Shadow, became critically ill. During the hardest season of my life, I found myself completely unsupported at work. That experience, and ultimately losing Shadow, forced me to rethink everything. I took a leave of absence, and shortly after, was laid off. Instead of going back, I decided to bet on myself.

That’s when I stepped fully into entrepreneurship and focused on Randall Ray Coaching & Consulting. My work as a Business Strategist & Empowerment Coach empowers women to break free from corporate burnout and build businesses that not only support their lifestyle, but honor their gifts. I work primarily with women who feel stuck, exhausted, or unfulfilled and are ready to step into ownership of their time, their energy, and their purpose. Helping women build businesses, and confidence, has become one of the most rewarding parts of my life.

Around that same time, another long-standing idea resurfaced. I’ve always been passionate about dogs, rescue work, and responsible pet ownership. For years, I noticed how many adopters were excited but unprepared, and how many rescues were overwhelmed and under-resourced. In 2025, I finally built the solution I wished existed when I first got Shadow: Pet Ready, a short, affordable, easy-to-understand online course designed to prepare adopters before they bring home a dog.

Pet Ready partners with rescues at absolutely no cost and gives them a tool that supports adopters and generates commission to help fund their life-saving work. What started as a simple idea is slowing growing into a nationwide partner program, one that supports rescues, empowers adopters, and ultimately helps keep more dogs in safe, loving homes.

Both businesses were born from lived experience and the realization that I’m at my best when I’m creating solutions, building community, and helping people step into a better life, whether that’s through entrepreneurship or through the unconditional love of a dog.

And honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing about how I got here. Every detour led me exactly where I needed to be.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all, and I don’t think entrepreneurship is supposed to be smooth. For me, the hardest part wasn’t the business itself, but everything I had to unlearn on the way here.

Coming from Corporate America, I was conditioned to prioritize stability, structure, and doing things “the right way.” Stepping into full-time entrepreneurship felt like stepping into the unknown with no safety net. I had to rebuild my confidence, trust my instincts, and learn how to make decisions without needing permission or approval. That’s an adjustment most people don’t talk about.

Another challenge was navigating a major life transition at the same time. Losing Shadow and leaving corporate life happened within the same season, and I was rebuilding my career while rebuilding myself. It required a level of resilience and self-trust I didn’t know I had.

With Pet Ready, the biggest challenge was simply starting. I had the idea for years, but turning it into a real, scalable program took discipline, resourcefulness, and a lot of patience. I built the course, the partner program, the marketing, the rescue relationships, everything, from scratch. And anytime you create something new, especially in the rescue community, you have to earn trust, show value, and stay committed.

But the most surprising struggle was learning to hold the full vision while also taking imperfect action. Entrepreneurship is a constant balance of dreaming big and executing step by step.

Despite the challenges, every obstacle made me more grounded, more skilled, and more aligned with the work I’m meant to do. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it has definitely been worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Randall Ray Coaching & Consulting | Pet Ready?
My work centers around two missions that reflect what I care about most: helping women build fulfilling businesses and helping dogs land in homes that are prepared to support them long term.

As a Business Strategist & Empowerment Coach, I help women transition out of corporate burnout and into entrepreneurship with clarity, confidence, and a plan they can actually execute. I specialize in working with women who know they are meant for more, but feel overwhelmed by where to start. My approach blends strategic business development with mindset and empowerment coaching, so clients receive the tools, structure, and support they need to create both financial and personal freedom.

What sets my coaching apart is the level of personalization and honesty I bring. I do not put anyone through a one-size-fits-all program, because every woman and every business idea is different. I meet my clients exactly where they are and work with them one-on-one, offering guidance that fits their personality, goals, and lifestyle. I only take on a select number of new clients at a time so they receive the personalized, high-touch support they deserve. Nothing about my coaching is recycled. It is tailored strategy, grounded accountability, and a partnership that helps women build something that feels aligned with their values and the life they truly want.

The second side of my work is Pet Ready, an online course and nationwide partner program designed to better prepare adopters before they bring home a dog. The course is short, affordable, and easy to understand, covering everything new pet parents need to know to set themselves up for success.

Pet Ready partners with rescues at absolutely no cost. Rescues receive free course access for adopters, along with a commission structure that helps fund their life-saving work. It is a practical, supportive resource that fills a crucial gap in the adoption process, and I am incredibly proud of the positive impact it is already making.

Brand wise, I am most proud that both sides of my work are rooted in empowerment. Whether I am supporting a woman in building her dream business or helping an adopter feel confident bringing home a new dog, the mission is the same. I want people to feel informed, supported, capable, and prepared.

For readers, here is what I want you to know. If you are a woman ready to explore entrepreneurship or want a strategy that finally makes sense, I can help you build it in a way that honors your strengths and your life. And if you are a dog lover, adopter, or part of a rescue organization, Pet Ready is a resource created to make the adoption experience smoother, safer, and more successful for everyone involved.

Both offerings exist because I saw gaps, created solutions, and committed to supporting people through important transitions with compassion and clarity.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is creating impact in a way that feels genuine, aligned, and rooted in integrity. I want the work I do to actually help people, not just exist for the sake of having a business.

In my coaching, what matters most is helping women step into their power. I care deeply about women reclaiming their confidence, their time, and their ability to build something meaningful on their own terms. So many of us were taught to shrink ourselves, to play it safe, to follow a path that does not match who we truly are. Watching women break out of that and build a life that finally feels like their own is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

With Pet Ready, what matters most is preparedness. I have seen firsthand how much heartbreak happens when adopters are not equipped with the knowledge or tools they need. I care about dogs staying in loving homes. I care about supporting rescues that are already stretched thin. If I can make that process easier, safer, and more successful for everyone involved, then it is absolutely worth it.

I have been through seasons that changed me, and what matters most is transforming those lessons into something that supports and uplifts others. My journey taught me compassion, resilience, and the importance of building a life that feels authentic.
