Meet Randi Crawford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randi Crawford.

Hi Randi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hair has literally always been a part of my life, it just took me a while to realize that was my passion. I started off playing in doll’s hair around the age of six. From then, I began to do my mom’s friend’s daughter’s hair. In high school, I eventually made it a business.

I attended Alabama State University for college, 2014-2018, while there, I did hair the entire time. & graduated with a chemistry major/ math minor. I would always say this was my “side hustle”, not knowing that this was my real passion.

Upon Graduation, I decided I did not want to move back to my hometown of Chicago, Illinois, but I’d rather stay somewhere in the south. That’s how I ended up in Atlanta, GA. Since moving here, it has been nothing but blessings. I started focusing more on my passion and perfecting my craft. I’ve had the opportunity to work on set with NIKE and do some styles for Toya Johnson & Dayy Bella.

I can honestly say that passion and consistency has gotten me to where I am today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, the road is never smooth. Rebuilding my clientele was probably the most challenge. I did not know anyone in ATL when I moved here, so I had to just get my name and work out there. Instagram was definitely a big help.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Hairstylist specializing and hair weaves and braiding. I am known for my infamous stitch feed in braids.

I am most proud of my growth. What sets me aside is that I am a loyal hairstylist, I communicate with my clients all the time. I try to build relationships because I’d prefer someone to come back, not just a one time thing.

How do you define success?
Success is what YOU make it. Reaching your personal goals and pushing further after that goal is reached.
