Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashod Harris.
Rashod, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
So yes, my journey has been pretty interesting but back in 2010, I was doing promotions for independent music artists where I would get them placed on different websites, blog sites, playlists, and then after a while, I just realized that there wasn’t enough sustainable income in it so I transitioned to working with a small businesses And nonprofit organizations. In 2016, I left my job that I had at the time to actually go full-time and since then I haven’t looked back
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yeah, outside of being married, entrepreneurship is definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever done. There’s been a lot of struggles and ups and downs in my journey. The major thing I will say is just learning how to conduct business and what I mean by that is understanding how much you should charge, understanding your value, and paying taxes. Yeah, there have been a lot of things over the years that I struggle with, but do you know one thing I strive for is to not make the same mistake twice, and that is what has helped me
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We create VISIBILITY. Most businesses and brands that start out really only have two problems. Either their product or service just isn’t good or their desired audience doesn’t know about them. We can’t help with the first one, but that second one, we are excellent at that.
We take regular everyday content creation to the next level by really understanding our clients as well as our clients’ clients.
We offer content creation, social media management, rebrand services, and more.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes, Covid was a wild time for everyone. In pertaining to this conversation, two things stood out to me the most. First, in my line of work, you have to always give value to your audience. While most people in my industry were struggling, I made it a point to give value to my audience with my content, and that allowed me to stay afloat during the pandemic. Secondly, focus on your personal brand. If people like you and you stay top of mind, then you will always have work.
