Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashod Stanley.
Rashod, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
At the age of 19, I owned my own clothing store on Bankhead Hwy. in Atlanta, Ga. before getting caught up with the wrong crowd. Now I’m on a mission to share my story, create clothing, and to inspire others not to go down the wrong path. I want people to know my story because “Location Doesn’t Determine Destination.” I want to inspire others to make something out of nothing and reach their full potential without making excuses. I also want to be a mentor and public speaker to at-risk kids that’s following down the wrong path. Although I currently sew my clothing using dental floss and a paper clip while also using prison uniforms/scraps, my goal is to make my “The Trenches High Fashion” fashion line shoppable for all.
I want to make a name for myself as a fashion designer in the fashion community. I’ve recently started a nonprofit organization called “The Trenches High Fashion Inc.” for low-income communities in Atlanta and plan to eventually expand nationwide. Trenches High Fashion is more than just a clothing line. A portion of all proceeds will be donated towards giving back to the community/community events, building community centers, and doing positive things for “The Trenches.” My team gave away over 100 book-bags this past August to kids in the community. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. My struggles included started a business straight out of high school, not fully aware of what it took to run a successful enterprise. I faced challenges such as keeping up with supply and demand.

The Trenches High Fashion LLC. Specialize in quality athletic apparel for the entire family. We are known for our innovative, unique fashions. I’m most proud of my desire to continue my passion regardless of my current situation. What sets my company apart from other clothing companies is the distinctive ideas I use for each design with limited resources.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career is knowing I have support from not only my family but also others in the fashion industry and my community.
