Today we’d like to introduce you to Raxx. They and their team shared their story with us below:
RAXX is a rising star in the world of Toronto hip-hop. Born and raised in the small town called Collingwood, 2 hours North of Toronto, she was exposed to the sounds of rap and R&B from a young age and quickly developed a passion for music. Drawing inspiration from artists like Drake, Lil’ Kim, and Young MA. RAXX began honing her skills as a rapper and songwriter in her early teens. By the time she was 25, RAXX had already built up a significant following on social media and was performing at local clubs and events. Her dynamic flow, sharp lyrics, and confident stage presence quickly caught the attention of industry insiders.
RAXX’s debut single, “Bounce,” was an instant hit, showcasing her unique blend of gritty street smarts and catchy, radio-friendly hooks. The track quickly went viral, racking up thousands of streams and earning Raxx a loyal fanbase around the world.
Since then, RAXX has continued to build her career, releasing a series of successful singles and collaborating with some big names in the music industry. Her music combines hard-hitting beats with raw, unapologetic lyrics, touching on everything from the challenges of growing up with a single mother – heartbreak and to the joys of success and fame. But for RAXX, success is about more than just making hit records. She’s also a vocal advocate for equality and mental health, using her platform to raise awareness about issues like gender inequality, drug abuse, and violence in our community. With her powerful voice and fearless attitude, RAXX is quickly becoming one of the most important voices in Canadian hip-hop and a role model for young women everywhere.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There has definitely been challenges along the road. One brings motivation. Sometimes it feels like, “What’s the point?” but when you have 1 person tell you that your music changed their life, then it’s all worth it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a rapper/singer. I am known for my Taylor Swift-style raps. I’m proud of everything I’ve done. Being a musician is tough, but it’ll be worth it.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Definitely my best friend/MUA Ester Topulli. She has been my rock for most of my journey. She wears a lot of hats.
