Hi Remi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I never thought I’d be a full-time entrepreneur. When I was in college, I found myself changing my major every other month. I couldn’t seem to fit myself into one of those check boxes of a career. This caused me to deepen my relationship with God. I figured since He created me, He could tell me why I was here and what I was meant to do. In that journey, God helped me to realize my love for business and entrepreneurship and led me to starting businesses. I’ve always struggled with my lack of eyebrows, so when I first came across permanent eyebrows, it launched out at me! I knew this was something I not only needed, but I would love to provide for other women who struggle with drawing on their eyebrows daily.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, I felt graced to do this from the moment I began! I can humbly say I didn’t have a period where my work didn’t look up to par. Early on, people found it hard to believe that I was just a beginner. I feared that I would struggle to get clients, but I have slowly but surely seen an increase in consistent clientele over time. My biggest struggle was showing up confidently. People can feel from your business whether or not you are confident in what you do. Don’t be afraid to promote the same work over and over again, and make sure you believe in yourself first.

We help women wake up every day with flawless eyebrows. As women age, we tend to lose our eyebrow hair, so this is the quick fix for that. Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always the oddball out. As a Nigerian immigrant, I was raised to pursue a career in the sciences or tech world, but I was always drawn to creativity, unlike my other siblings. I loved to sing, dance, act, anything to do with the performing arts. I always wanted to use my hands and record YouTube videos with our old camcorder. My parents knew I was different, but they didn’t know how to hone in on what was inside of me, so they just encouraged me, like my other siblings, to focus on school and not pay too much mind to my creativity. They are not to blame, because where we are from, that was the norm for them growing up also. I’m grateful that as a full-time entrepreneur now, I have gotten to express my creativity in so many ways.
