Meet Rhett Diller of Butter Consulting in Buckhead & Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhett Diller.

Rhett, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
With me, it all started with “What are you going to do about it?” Something I consistently always asked myself. Coming from a challenging childhood, I made a lot of mistakes to find myself and to figure out my overall purpose to look forward to, especially a career. Being dealt with unfortunate circumstances at a young age, It finally came to my realization after dropping out of my third year of college. With college, being something I dreaded each and every day, I was not appealed to sitting in classes all in a result of an undetermined questionable future. So, my mindset was, why not drop out of college and go to work five jobs. Haha, it sounds crazy writing it now, but it was the single most beneficial life decision I have done to get me to where I am now. The decision quickly had me more engaged in life and my future. I may have been working just as hard as I was in school but with an instant financial return of investment due to my hard work or what as I like to call THE HUSTLE. I started as a real estate foreclosure inspector, a valet, a server, a bartender, and a landscaper. All jobs being in different fields resulted in me finding my niche. Hospitality – the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.

By focusing on one of my five jobs, Bartending quickly resulted in me being promoted up the ladder, directly to General Manager, of one of the longest running nightclubs in Atlanta. I was quickly interacting with the people that I, still to this day, call my mentors – experienced and trusted advisers in all different industries. That launching my career in hospitality as my destined motive. I quickly learned real business competitiveness. The amount of work, mental and physical, that was needed to compete and to be the best. Most especially that “being comfortable” was no viable option and that one must keep changing and growing to be successful. But most personally, don’t let any setbacks define your future, your hunger, and or vision. All of this defining me to be irreplaceable.

I am now director of operations of one of Atlanta’s newest nightclub, lounge, and restaurant, I also operate the largest events in Atlanta that being music festivals, concerts, as well as the past two largest Super Bowl events in the city. I have two businesses, one being a consulting within operations business that handles everything from curating events to the full operations and staffing. Another being a clothing brand.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my company grow with a delegated team to help expand in all avenues. Eventually, partnerships that will grow us internationally.
