Today we’d like to introduce you to Ric Holmes.
Hi Ric, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
What started as a simple cleaning has transformed into a whole business. My name is Ric, and I started Uncapped ATL a few years ago before the pandemic. I started with the goal to provide sneaker cleaning services for young kids that can’t afford new shoes every semester. Now I not only clean shoes but restore grails for sneaker heads and provide customs for clients looking to stand out from the crowd.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There had been a lot of ups and downs but it’s all a part of the journey. Sometimes, you have to look back and realize you’re not in the same spot you once was before. Some of my struggles include learning how to market my business. If you don’t market nobody will find you. Try different things, find what works, and stick it out. Produce your best content and even if it doesn’t reach the goal you wanted keep going because people still see it. Do not be afraid to repost old work over and over again.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have a sneaker service company. I’m well rounded specializing in the most important three areas which are cleanings, customs, and restorations. I stand out by being able to do all three and provide top-quality service in each area. I’m most proud of the network I’ve been able to build and seeing the goals and plans I layout come true.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Originally I’m from Brooklyn, New York I don’t talk about that much because I grew up in Atlanta and might as well consider it home.
