Today we’d like to introduce you to Rob Harden.
Rob Harden, owner of TLab Game Truck, has a background in audiovisual engineering. He combined his love for electronics and music into an exciting, entrepreneurial venture. He graduated from Devry in New Jersey in 1988 and has been working in the technical field as a project manager and as a musician for over 30 years. More than just a business venture, he uses the TLab as a way to empower the next generation to take their love for technology and music and use it as a viable career path. The TLab is a mobile gaming theater, outfitted with the latest gaming technology. Also, the TLab serves as a mobile classroom to teach students vocational skills revolving around technology, such as coding and music production.
Has it been a smooth road?
One of the challenges has been structuring the company legally as an LLC as well as a nonprofit.
Marketing the TLab as a tool for community enrichment and not just as event entertainment.
Finding partnerships and donors to come alongside the TLab’s vision to be part of the solution to the needs in Metro Atlanta.

The TLab exists to provide a fun, entertaining and inviting space where people of all ages can bond and experience comradery. It will also provide a technologically advanced environment where specialized skills and instruction in the arts can be made accessible to under-resourced communities. The TLab will be an effective tool in bridging cultures and facilitating outreach opportunities.
The TLab Mobile Gaming & Music Production Mobile Game Theater is greater Metro Atlanta’s premier high-tech video game truck! Inside and outside, seven high-definition screens allow up to 28 guests to play the best video games, including Virtual Reality games. We carry the best games and consoles! Our mobile theater is ADA-compliant, with a custom handicap-accessible ramp to allow everybody to enjoy world-class video gaming and musical creation! One of the things I am proud of is the attractive appearance of our vehicle.
The TLab is actually a mobile technology lab disguised as a game truck. Although we have a state of the art luxury gaming theater, we can transform our trailer at any time to enrich our communities through educational training in technology and the arts.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Atlanta is a place which attracts innovative and forward-thinking individuals. The opportunities to collaborate with bright young minds are endless. Atlanta is becoming the leading location for creatives. However, the disparity between communities is pretty vast. The exposure to different career paths is less in under-served neighborhoods. The TLab opens up new worlds of potential career paths for individuals who would not otherwise be exposed.

- 2 hour (min) weekend events are $325 Fri-Sun
- 2 hour (min) weeknight events are $315 Mon-Thur
