Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Trice.

Robert, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My story began in 2010 with a small pressure washing and lawn care company. After a few years, I started taking on some home repair projects. Then in 2014 I found my first investment property in Smyrna Ga. I put all my savings in and found investor to stake the rest of the project.

This was the beginning of Skyline Property Group. After 6 months of incredibly hard work and going over budgets and timelines, we sold the house in one day with multiple offers. With the proceeds of this project I started Upperdeckz.com a residential custom deck building company. Now Skyline Property Group and upper decks are running great and we’re doing multiple investment flips a year and building around 15 to 20 decks.

Has it been a smooth road?
It was never a smooth road. About five years of just hard work with no pay. I work nights with pressure washing business and cut grass during the day. I always struggle with lack of capital and funding so I literally worked two jobs until I had enough to get my first investment property.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
What my companies are known for is taking care of its customers. If you have us do any work on your house we make it personal as if it was our own home. We have a passion for building custom decks and Outdoor Living Spaces for people that they can enjoy with their families.

Skyline Property Group does investment flips and I have found that these communities love the work we do. We take a house that is dilapidated and unsightly for the neighborhood and community and we fix it up to be one of the best in the neighborhood.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I believe this is a great area to start a small business. If I had any advice for anyone wanting to start a small business. Its customer service is the key. Find people and take care of them and they will take care of you.
