Meet Roger Webb of The Webb Real Estate Team in Cherokee County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roger Webb.

These days it’s hard to find people who can claim the title of Atlanta native, but real estate agent Roger Webb is one of the few who owns that distinction. Born and raised in the Atlanta area, he attended Georgia State University and stayed in the area following graduation, eventually owning a number of successful Smoothie King franchises. After running those businesses for a decade, he decided it was time to try something new and gravitated toward real estate. It didn’t take long for Roger to realize he had made the right choice. “I definitely found my calling,” he says.

Now 11 years into a successful real estate career, he looks back on those first few years and realizes it could have turned out differently. “I started in 2006, when everything was going well, but then 2007 is when the market turned in this area,” Roger explains. “It was tough but I was persistent and was even able to put a team together during that time.” Now that market conditions are favorable again, he urges anyone who has an interest in real estate to take the leap and get started. “This is a great time to jump in,” he says. “I think the best thing for new agents to do is find an established team to join and take advantage of their training. We are happy to take on new agents and because of our education and success they do very well.”

Clients who work with Roger or any member of his team can count on receiving timely, consistent communication. “We pride ourselves on that,” he says. “We’re available practically 24/7, and that’s\very important. When I first started, another agent told me, ‘real estate never sleeps’ and I’ve never forgotten that. Clients appreciate how responsive we are.” Of course, clients also receive the benefit of Roger’s deep knowledge of the areas his team serves, which include the Atlanta metro area nd northern suburbs such as Marietta and Canton. “I have a team of five, and they spread out to work different counties including Cobb, Cherokee, Fulton, Forsyth and Paulding,” Roger explains. “That way we’re able to cover just about everywhere.”

Roger was a featured guest on Real Estate Radio Atlanta, spotlighted as a top agent in FeaturedAgent Magazine Jan 2017. He is RedFin Partner Agent, 5 Star Zillow Agent, Top of Trulia agent and a TrustDale.com recommended agent. He has been recognized with industry excellence from the Expert Network and Continental Who’s Who of Top Professionals. He and his team have sold over 40 million dollars each year since 2014.

A self-described “slow growth guy,” Roger’s plans to continue building his team by adding both new and veteran agents who share his work ethic and values.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not always. 2006-2010 was some slow times. I just weathered the storm and continued to move forward. Working hard for each and every client. I knew if I built a pipeline in the slower times in would pay off when the market turned around again. Getting deals done back in the tough times were hard. You had to become educated in Short Sales and Foreclosures. This was where a lot of business came from during these times. I just adapted and stayed the course. This made me a better agent and contributed to my success.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Webb Real Estate Team story. Tell us more about the business.
The Webb Real Estate Team is a team of five. We cover the entire metro Atlanta area. We specialize in assisting Buyers and Sellers. We are known for our attention to detail, excellent communication and superb negotiation skills. We are set apart from others due to our strong work ethic. We are not 9 to 5. We are 24/7. Real Estate never sleeps! We are constantly ready to help anyone at a moment’s notice. Being responsive in a lighting fast manner has set us apart from most agents in this industry. It’s hard to beat our communication and response time with clients. We pride ourselves on this aspect.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I would say any successful business has some luck associated with success. But hard work has been the key for our team. 90% of our business comes from referrals of past clients. This is huge for us. Business always seems to find us. If you take care of clients they will come back and refer you to others. Also, I strongly believe my faith in Jesus Christ has also allowed me to become successful. I lean on Him for everything I do in life and business!
