Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronald Jones.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
As a child, I always knew I had a creative mind. I started out drawing houses and cars and always knew I wanted to design. I believe I was seven years old when my mother told me that I should be an architect. She saw how much I love to draw and design homes along with the interior finishes. Once I was in high school, I started taking architectural drafting classes and learned all the software on how to design homes. By college, I was in school for construction management in architecture. After I graduated college, I started my first real job for a construction company that was building for Tyler Perry Studios. Working there really brought out my design skills; not only was I an assistant project manager for the construction site, I was also designing interior finishes for the build-outs. Working there really allowed me to spread my wings. I legally started my business in 2017. R Jones Designs Inc is an interior design firm that offers custom floor plans 3-D renderings, staging and remodels.
Please tell us about your art.
It’s funny that you asked about my art most people don’t consider interior designers to be art or an artist. I bring my clients dreams to life, By redesigning their whole space from paint to furniture even complete remodels. When creating a design for my client, I always present them with a 3-D rendering or floor plan to show every detail on how space will look when completed. This helps me out tremendously because I get to learn the clients style and what they like or dislike. When I design, I want the client to feel comfortable relaxed when they come to their home. I want the client to feel accomplished and proud of themselves with the decision that they chose R Jones Designs to design their home. Whether they live there for three years or 30 years the home is where you’ll probably spend most of your time at. Your home becomes a showpiece, something that you’re proud of. I love seeing the clients face when space is complete. It’s the most exciting thing!!
