Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosana Exposito.
Hi Rosana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It started back in 2018 when someone I worked with reached out to me about an opportunity to become a coach/trainer at her husband’s gym. I was not certified then and though I felt flattered and honored that she reached out to me, I wasn’t sure if I’d even be good at it. I had gone through my own weight loss and fitness journey and have always posted my journey online. Friends would reach out and ask to come workout with me at the gym and so that was about all the experience I had with training others. Once I took the opportunity and ran with it, I prayed and trusted God and my heart grew to looove training and leading others in their health and fitness journey. I’ve always been passionate about helping others and so it’s felt like the perfect fit for my life and I couldn’t be happier. I have since trained at 3 gyms and even have trained online, on FaceTime and sold custom programs for people around the world.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. I had some struggles financially in the beginning. I left a job where I was making salary and had benefits, to a job where I was a contracted worker and basically had to build my own following and prove myself. Through the obstacles I always repeated to myself “I’ll do everything and all that it takes to get to where I want to be”
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a fitness coach and personal trainer. I love hyping others up as they become better, healthier versions of themselves. I love to say I’m just a little light in my clients’ journey and it’s such an honor to help and serve them. I’m proud of all the challenges it took for me to get here. So many people, including myself, thought this would be a temporary thing and that I wouldn’t stick to it nor grow. But my determination, discipline and love for others and what I do, has always been my driving force to grow.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Networking is too important. I think it benefits me that I’m not an introvert haha I love talking to people and picking peoples’ brains and it’s been so helpful in my career.
