Today we’d like to introduce you to Royce Morgan.
Royce, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started out winning a local contest in my hometown Memphis, TN, with radio station K97FM which started me with local opportunities with modeling/print/commercial work. During this time, Social Media was also picking up and allowing more visibility. The more that picked up and I started being more myself than just a face on a picture or trying to be “known” or “famous,” it attracted an organic following through my “round the way” inspiration and humor (as I refer to it).
In 2016 I relocated to Atlanta when I tell you things started getting REAL when I moved here. I battled depression and anxiety from so many things in life hitting me all at once between 2017-2019, backs turned on me, being misunderstood, not able to pursue my craft like I wanted and really had nowhere to turn, so I turned to Social Media as I fought for my life LITERALLY).
With being so open with my battle, it opened so many doors for not only me, but the organic fan base (Royce Ryders) to feel open and share their struggles openly also. Do many hides behind a veil for fear of being shamed or ridiculed, but it takes one person who had the courage to say, “I’m not perfect, this is life” to open that door! I’ve been regularly featured on The Nightly Spirit With Darlene McCoy, spoken on various panels and hosted many shows and events based on The Power Of Being MYSELF and not just a face or persona I’m selling and that has been a blessing!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No smooth road at all! I’ve had people “industry/celebrity” friends to fake the funk for access to my light or personal gain; I’ve taken things to the heart of what I should do or should be to appeal to certain audiences, I mention my hardest fight being against myself when I let people in who made me feel like who I was wasn’t good enough or they wanted to take credit for making me. It’s taken a lot of self-realization and actualization to know who and whose I am and be okay with letting people put me in a box that may be comfortable for them when I know it’s not me! My glory comes in walking in an authentic light and not only loving but liking who I give to the world.

I book my speaking/hosting opportunities! What I do is very unconventional and unorthodox, as I amassed a following via Social Media (@theroycemorgan on Instagram and Facebook). I give my family (as I call them) unfiltered inspiration, comedy, life lessons, messages that hit my spirit, etc. I do it all in my very unique way so that you know it’s from the heart and REAL! It’s a greater experience when I’m able to touch the people live (Please COVID go away!)… I’ve been the go-to guy for a lot of your favorites in the entertainment world to talk with and be themselves through their personal issues (some even dealing with this in major news outlets).
I feel being my authentic Southern Gentleman with an edge sets me apart to do my own thing and the ability to see beyond myself and my perception to really grasp and feel what individuals need from me.
