Meet Russell Pizzuto of All2Fly Aviation Academy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Russell Pizzuto.

Our Flight Academy was started with just one airplane at KRYY airport in Kennesaw. The owner is a commercial pilot who started the academy to make flight training more affordable for the general public while upholding a high standard of flight training. Over the last 2 years, we have grown to have 9 aircraft in our fleet. We moved to KPDk where the level of training is much more difficult, in order to be able to train our pilot’s to be fully able to fly anywhere when they receive their certificate. We have been growing rapidly at KPDK, and have seen an increase of inquiries. We got to where we are today by reinvesting profits into growing our fleet and attracting great instructors. The story and purpose of All2Fly are centered around providing the most affordable, safe, and comprehensive flight training available. We seek to change the norms of the industry by finding ways to get people flying without increasing our prices just because that is the way it is. We work hard to keep our business growing and to provide a community for aviation enthusiasts and professionals to fly together and share their stories. We are shifting the flight training industry in order to provide pilots to fill the gaps that the industry is now and will be facing in the future. The pilot shortage is going to affect many industries, not just aviation. Our goal is to attract intelligent professionals to become pilots and fill the seats that the airlines desperately need to be filled.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has been anything but smooth. We have come up against many obstacles. Other schools at the airport have done anything they can to keep us down. We have had fuel caps stolen and removed, the FAA called on us, and many other attempts to shut us down. We have always been transparent with the federal regulators. They are familiar with what we are accomplishing and they have been very helpful. We are providing flight training at rental rates that other schools cannot compete with and therefore they are attempting to spread bad words and find ways to slow us down.

All2Fly Aviation Academy – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are an aviation training center. We specializing in pilot training. We are proud to be able to provide training at the most affordable rates in the industry. We are located in the heart of Atlanta making it easy for students to schedule training around their work or other schooling. Our prices and our atmosphere set us apart. There are always experienced pilots who are eager to share their experience and help make flight training affordable and fun. Our maintenance is another big thing that sets us apart. We encourage all our students to hang around our hanger and learn everything about the aircraft they are piloting. We want our pilots to know everything about aviation, not just how to fly. This is a great place for type A people who enjoy learning and immersing themselves in the aviation industry. We also have an FBO which allows us to fuel, park, and detail aircraft. This provides even more opportunities for our students to be around different aircraft and learn hands on how to maintain aircraft.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is defined by changing our student’s lives for the better. Most people that enter the industry end up getting overwhelmed with the information. We strive to make a career change into aviation as smooth and easy as possible. We love to see our pilots get hired at professional airlines and come back and teach our students. This evolving community is what defines our success. We are happy to be able to share this amazing industry with whoever is interested. This ecosystem structure is what keeps people attracted and focused on their goal of becoming a professional pilot.
