Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryann Frink and Whitney Frink.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ryann and Whitney. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We’re sisters and moms. We wanted to create a space where we could share some of our life experiences in the hopes of helping others, particularly women. Because Whit was living in LA for so many years, when she moved back to our hometown of Atlanta with her husband and kids in 2017, we knew it was finally the right time to do it. So we created our YouTube channel, Whit & Ry: Candid as a Mother.
One video that was very important for both of us to make was about the medical anomalies both of our sons had at birth. Ry’s son was born in 2012 with a very severe heart defect called TAPVR. Whit’s son was born the next year with a skull condition called Craniosynostosis. Neither of these defects is discussed very often, and as we each went through the emotional roller coaster of surgeries and recovery, we were unable to find very reliable information for parents going through these things. The channel has now evolved to also include a lot of the fun we have together as sisters. Watching the Bachelor franchise shows together has become a weekly tradition for us, and that spawned interviews with some Bachelor’s notables. Most recently, we spoke with Mike Johnson, who many thought would be named the next Bachelor (but ultimately lost out to Peter Weber).
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Our biggest struggle has been finding the time to get together and create content. Whit has three sons and a husband who travels for work, and Ry is a single mother of one with a time-consuming job. So when we do get together, we make the most of it!
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Our Bachelor Recaps are probably what sets us apart from all the other Youtube channels out there. We also like to interview Bachelor insiders, whether that be a former producer, or Reality Steve, or past contestants. Whit is a TV producer, so she does the technical stuff; the lighting, camera work, and editing… and Ry brings her quick wit and easy-going charm, so the combo seems to work well for interviews.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
We don’t really think of luck being involved as much as things aligning as they were meant to.
