Meet Sabine McKenzie of Celebr8Lyfe in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabine McKenzie.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Celebr8Lyfe was birthed out of a need to see people live life to the fullest. It started at the end of 2016 with blogs to push people into living life on purpose, knowing your why and taking care of yourself. With self-care challenges, prayer books, and vision notebooks over 1,000 people (both men and women) were starting to live a life full of joy and purpose. It wasn’t until the beginning of 2019 that I really felt an urge to get into the community to help others smile. I have started celebr8lyfe bags which are filled with different items for the less fortunate that will bring joy to them. In May, I filled those bags with makeup and gift cards, with the help of over 50 people donating, and delivered them to 110 women in shelters. Our goal is to spread Celebr8Lyfe as a habit. That people, no matter their situation, will still keep their joy because life is still good.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggle was first starting the blog and writing the e-books. I felt like I wasn’t the right one and too many people have blogs and books. My second hardest part was getting out into the community. I felt like people would think I’m trying to start a church or get recognition. I’ve had a very hard time putting people’s opinion above my purpose. And for the sake of teaching others to live life, I had to learn that my purpose is a mandate over my life.

Please tell us about Celebr8Lyfe.
Celebr8Lyfe is here to help build your self-esteem, encourage you to live, fulfill your purpose, and grow your relationship with God! Through blogs, testimonies, and monthly challenges we will uplift each other.

What we are most known for is free resources to encourage people. Such as the 31 Days of Prayer e-book, which helps people find encouragement for themselves. As well as, the Vision Notebook which requires us to really see what goals we have and how to achieve them.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory would definitely have to be daddy-daughter dates. My dad was very intentional about showing me how a man should love and treat me. He opened every door and showed complete chivalry. Although he and my mom were divorced he still checked her car, making sure the house was safe and made sure we had what we needed. He is the best father because of his caring heart. My parents taught me to care for others through encouragement and giving.
