Hi Sabra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My husband Danny and I started this salon 24 years ago. We have been blessed and are successful by the grace of God. Over the years, Kids Kuts Salon has rebranded into Family Salon and have kept several long-term stylist with us on this journey. I have so many great clients and have made amazing friends thru out the years. I am grateful for the loyalty they show to this salon. We offer babies first hair cuts, perms, updos, foils, Keritian, Thermo Straighteners, senior sets and cuts for all ages and more!! We offer apprenticeship programs to help future stylists interested in acquiring a Master’s License under proper supervision.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Over the years, keeping up with demand has been a struggle. Word of mouth about our kindness and talent in the salon has spread like wildfire. The stylist stays busy and enjoys every day here! We could use a few new stylists to help keep up with the client demand.
We’ve been impressed with Family Salon, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Family salon is all about healthy hair! We use GK color /Keritian and Olaplex in our lightener! We want to make sure our client’s hair is better when they leave this salon than when they came it!!
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
We are always researching online for the best possible technique for our clients. We are constantly attending online classes with our color lines!
