Meet Sabrina Kirkland of My Name Is M.E.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Kirkland.

SABRINA KIRKLAND

Hi Sabrina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Sabrina, and I am originally from Miami, Florida. I moved to Orlando, FL, in 2000. For an incredible decade, I served the community as a member of the Orlando Police Department (O.P.D.). I assumed various roles within the O.P.D. I worked as a Teletype Operator, Executive Assistant, and Detective Assistant for West Patrol, Property Theft, and Sex Crimes and Crimes Against Children. I also worked as a member of the Child Abduction Response Team (C.A.R.T.).

In 2005, I began working with victims of human trafficking. It was in this role that I discovered my true calling and passion. I chaired the sub-committee of the Florida Abolitionist. I collaborated closely with esteemed organizations such as the Department of Children and Families (D.C.F.), The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, The Department of Juvenile Justice, the F.B.I., the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C.), along with State and Local Law Enforcement. My dedication to addressing the issue of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking earned me certifications to train trainers, teachers, Law Enforcement, and D.C.F. workers in Florida.

Driven by a profound commitment to combating sexual child abuse and human trafficking, I moved to the bustling city of Atlanta, GA. Without hesitation, I initiated programs and established strong alliances with local officials and activists, channeling my energy into the fight against human trafficking and sexual child abuse. 2012 I established my company; My Name is M.E, L.L.C.

I wrote my first book, “My Private Space,” my testimony. My Private Space is a poignant narrative that tackles the sensitive topic of molestation and the strength to break the silence.

Beyond my literary achievements, I have emerged as an accomplished author, motivational speaker, and modern-day abolitionist. My advocacy extends to crucial issues like human trafficking, bullying, the prevention of teen dating violence, and sexual child abuse. I remain committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. In 2013, I founded Seedlife Foundation, Inc., a non-profit that educates, advocates, and trains for eradicating said issues and building life skill centers and homes for children rescued from human trafficking.

With an unyielding spirit and a heart full of compassion, I want to leave an indelible mark on the world, inspiring and empowering others to pursue a better, safer future for all.

My motto is “When you know your value, no one can diminish your worth!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I have had many struggles along the way. It is my struggles that made me who I am today. From 8 to 16, I was sexually abused by my mother’s boyfriend, and my mother was a victim of domestic violence. Then, I was in an emotionally abusive marriage for ten years.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My HUSBAND makes me happy and when I say husband, I mean ELOHIM. Yes, I am married to the FATHER and have the ring to prove it! LOL. No, I am not a “Holy Roller”; I am in an AGAPE relationship with YAHWEH. I have never felt so ALIVE and full of HIS purpose. Falling in love with YAHSHUA is the best thing I have ever done. He literally saved my life, healed me, validated me, comforts me, and wants to spend time with me. HE encourages, uplifts, motivates, and inspires me. I am not perfect, and HE doesn’t judge me for that because to HIM, I am perfect in my imperfections!
