Meet Sacha Walton of SWI Management Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sacha Walton.

Hi Sacha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a multi-passionate Mompreneur and the owner of SWI Management Group. Being in business for over 20 years has allowed me to evolve and grow in so many ways.

In December 2021, I launched my personal brand as a business strategist, international speaker, author, and founder of the According 2 Sacha Podcast. I know someone is reading this wondering how does she do all of these things. Well, I believe in strategically building a platform that is an ecosystem with one aspect of the business supporting the other.

There is value in leveraging your skill sets, education, and professional skills to build a sustainable business with multiple streams of income. My goal is to help entrepreneurs, primarily female business owners and creatives, to build sustainable businesses while managing mental wellness. As entrepreneurs, we experience a lot of anxious moments and stressful times. We need to manage well-being as we build our corporations. For this reason, I take a holistic approach to business by including mindset coaching in talks and coaching services because we are our business.

Mental health and entrepreneurship have become my purpose because I know what it is like to be faced with challenges so big that you want to throw in the towel.

It’s been a long journey with many challenges, bumps, and bruises, lol. Entrepreneurship is not an easy path, it can be ugly with beautiful results.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Oh yes! There have been many challenges and obstacles. From getting funding to bidding on many contracts only to land 8% of them to building a team. My list is long, but I am still here. Two of my biggest challenges rocked my world. The first obstacle was getting out of my own way. People may say this but not acknowledge to the truth of this statement: I was in my comfort zone. Being complacent in your comfort zone is a hurdle many have to jump over. I can humbly say that place delayed me in so many ways. I was comfortable being great in the shadows, showing up how I wanted to show up for greatness.

The second obstacle was very challenging for me because my business was negatively affected by the 2020 pandemic. The event industry was shut down for two years and I went from thriving to surviving. I experienced functional depression and was ready to throw in the towel, I wasn’t myself and it was hard to cope, but I held on. It took a lot of resilience, prayer, and perseverance to overcome. I am happy to have made it through those difficult times because so many others did not. Yes, many started businesses, but there were a lot of entrepreneurs who struggled during the pandemic. This is the reason why mental health and entrepreneurship is so important to me.

Ironically, the pandemic also graced me to break out of my comfort zone. I wrote a book about my “pandemic recovery story ” called The Ugly Truth About Entrepreneurship: Keys to Managing Mental Wellness. Now I travel the world speaking about building sustainable businesses and managing mental well-being.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
SWI Management Group is the subsidiary of Sacha Walton Innerprise. Innerprise means to pull from within and that has become our business culture as we help entrepreneurs pull greatness from within into their businesses.

Our event production side of the company provides event services to corporations, small businesses, non-profits, and the government. We help businesses become not only profitable but sustainable. The best part of your business comes from growth and a firm foundation.

What sets us apart from others is our strategic insight and foresight in business planning. We focus on building a strong foundation. We leverage the 20-plus years of entrepreneurship and corporate background to provide business development services that will have a small business operating like a large corporation. We offer group coaching, event production, and strategic business planning to entrepreneurs.

I am proud of my brand. We have established and positioned ourselves as experts in strategic planning, leadership development, and out-of-the-box style thinking. We have integrated business media with our podcast and book publishing under our brand. Our resourcefulness as an ecosystem helps us to drive results. Even with our relaunch after the pandemic, we are trending upward in our brand awareness. The new rollouts of our signature group coaching tour, Business Plans & Mimosas is making a great hit with female entrepreneurs. I’m very happy about what the next chapter of SWI Management Group looks like.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Absolutely! When networking one should be personable and willing to learn more about the other person. People tend to give more when they believe you are sincere and genuine in your approach. Ask how can you support them and be willing to offer tips. Show up as a solution. Once again, be genuine. I have found this to work for me and have gained referrals from people I’ve met at networking events.

Here are some things to look for when searching for a mentor. Always look for someone who knows their stuff, has the time to mentor you, and they are not only an expert but a leader. Leadership has everything to do with mentoring and coaching.
