Today we’d like to introduce you to Sade Porter.
Sade, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always had a love for art and creating since taking art classes in high school. I started out making logos in 2018, along with some small crafts such as birthday pins and custom flower mirrors before I progressed into making custom vanity mirrors. Once the pandemic hit in 2020, that is when I decided to get my Cricut and turn my passion into a legit business by the name of Sade & Son Craft Co.
I spent my entire first stimulus check on materials and set up shop in my room at my mom’s apartment that me and my son shared at the time. My videos and work started to gain a lot of attention from other crafters, that started me on my journey of my craft tutorials. So I had my craft business that I ran along with teaching other crafters. 2022 came along and my business started to deter away from the crafting side and putting more of my creativity towards digital designing, custom apparel, heat transfers, decals and labels. So, where I am at today is slowly converting into a Design & Print company.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road for my business, I would say has been somewhat smooth. One struggle along the way I experienced was accepting my $0 days without dwelling and losing faith in my business and realizing it comes with the territory. On those days I take that time to create content, repurpose old content, go out and do some marketing, go live on social media and anything else that I feel could contribute to the growth of my business.

My business specializes in digital designing, custom shirts, heat transfers, decals and custom stickers/labels. Outside of those items, I am also known for my Kid’s Learning Tables that I once made and plan to resume making June 2023. I am most proud of the progression my business has made and helping other craft/print business owners with their businesses with the tutorials I offer, custom designs and transfers. I would say my design style and the quality of my work set me apart from others that do what I specialize in.
