Today we’d like to introduce you to Saira Padilla.
Hi Saira, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My Story
My name is Saira Padilla, but most people know me as “Sai,” a nickname taken from the first three letters of my my first name. I began my entrepreneurial journey in the most humble way: selling Colombian fajas. It was my first taste of business, and it taught me how to connect with people, how to sell from the heart, and how to work with what I had. From there, I stepped into a side hustle as a Herbalife distributor, where I learned discipline, consistency, and the mindset needed to grow beyond my comfort zone, while being a full time construction worker at the same time.
My introduction to the construction world came unexpectedly. Back in 2006, I was hired as a project manager for a major stucco project in Orlando, Florida — a brand-new apartment complex. That experience opened my eyes to an industry I never imagined I would love. A few years after, I entered the roofing space in 2016 and began learning every part of the process: insurance claims, production, estimating, supplements, and ultimately how to truly advocate for homeowners.
My husband, David Molina, and I started our roofing company together, and from that foundation, our vision expanded. Today, at 35 years young, Both, David and I are multi-business owners with companies in roofing, investment properties, new construction, real estate flipping, and even an online clothing boutique. I’m also a mom of two, a wife, a fitness and nutrition lover, and I have the honor of co-pastoring a church with my husband.
None of this would be possible without the incredible support system God has placed around us. From family to our team to our church community, we’ve been blessed with people who believe in the vision as much as we do.
Looking back, every phase—from selling colombian fajas to managing large construction projects—built the foundation for the life and businesses I lead today. My journey hasn’t been linear, but it’s definitely been purposeful… but this is only the beginning.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Looking back, I learned to embrace obstacles and challenges, seeing them as opportunities.
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Every stage of my journey came with its own set of challenges. When I first started in business, I had no guidance, no capital, and no roadmap — just determination and a willingness to learn through trial and error. Entering the construction world as a young woman back in 2006 wasn’t easy either. I constantly had to prove myself, earn respect in male-dominated environments, and overcome the fear of stepping into roles where I had zero prior experience.
When my husband and I started our roofing business years later, we faced the typical struggles of a startup: managing cash flow, learning the insurance process, building a trustworthy team, and balancing work with family life. There were moments where things felt overwhelming, especially raising kids while running multiple businesses and serving in ministry at the same time.
But one of the biggest challenges was learning how to grow without burning out — how to build systems, ask for help, delegate, and trust the people God placed around us. Each obstacle taught me resilience, leadership, and the importance of faith and support.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but every struggle shaped the entrepreneur, wife, mother, and leader I am today. And honestly, the challenges became the very reason I kept going.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our primary company, United Group, specializes in residential and commercial roofing through insurance claims, new construction, and full exterior restoration. What we are known for is integrity. We don’t just replace roofs — we walk homeowners through one of the most stressful processes they can experience, from the first inspection to the final check. We handle the paperwork, the adjuster meetings, the supplements, the communication, and every detail required for clients to receive the full value of their claim.
What sets us apart is our commitment to integrity and transparency. We involve homeowners in every stage of the process, keeping them copied on every email, every update, and every step. Our team works with precision, professionalism, and quality materials, and our systems ensure that no detail is missed.
Beyond roofing, my husband and I own multiple companies across real estate investing, property flipping, new construction, an online boutique, and ministry leadership. Every company we run is built on the same principles: integrity and excellence.
What I’m most proud of is the culture we’ve created. We’ve built a team that operates based on God-giving principles, who values people over profit, communication over confusion, and long-term relationships over transactions. Our goal is for each client to feel taken care of, respected, and educated — and not left in the dark.
I want readers to know that what we offer goes beyond services. We bring experience, advocacy, and heart into everything we do. Whether we are restoring a home, building a new one, flipping a property, or growing our creating a garment in my boutique, our mission is the same:
To elevate everything we touch, serve people with excellence, and create businesses that reflect purpose, integrity, and transformation.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I’d just like to share that my journey is proof that you don’t have to start with perfect circumstances to build something meaningful. I began with small ideas, limited resources, and a lot of uncertainty — but also with faith, resilience, and a willingness to learn along the way. Being a Latina and thriving in a state where racism is still very real has been one of the biggest challenges — but also one of my greatest motivations. It reminded me that your background, accent, or ethnicity should never stop you from pursuing what God has called you to do.
What truly changed my life wasn’t just business growth — it was choosing to live by the basic God-given principles that anchor everything we do. Principles like honoring our parents, living on a budget no matter how much money is in the bank, and teaching those same values to our children and our community. Those foundations have guided every decision, every sacrifice, and every blessing we’ve experienced as a family.
If there’s anything I want readers to take with them, it’s this:
your background does not limit your future. Every season prepares you for the next one. And sometimes the dream you end up living is far bigger than the dream you started with.
I’m grateful for every challenge, every opportunity, and every person who has been part of this journey. And I hope my story encourages someone else to take their next step — even if it’s small — because you never know where it might lead.
