Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Krantz.
Hi Samantha , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In December of 2023, Dr. Samantha Krantz earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. In doing so, she proudly followed in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Andrew Krantz—an esteemed Life University alumnus and long-standing faculty member. For Dr. Krantz, becoming part of the Life legacy wasn’t just a family tradition—it was a deeply personal and intentional choice, rooted in a lifelong connection to chiropractic care and a passion for helping others.
Her introduction to chiropractic came at the very start of her life—receiving her first adjustment just one minute after birth. As a second-generation chiropractor, she grew up surrounded by natural healing and holistic wellness, learning firsthand the powerful impact of chiropractic care.
But her journey was also shaped by a profound personal loss. At just eight years old, Dr. Krantz lost her beloved older brother to Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) at the age of 19. That tragedy became a driving force in her life. Motivated by his memory and a desire to make a difference for other children facing neurological challenges, she went on to study epilepsy and neuroscience at the Medical University of South Carolina, working for seven years as a research specialist. During that time, she volunteered on weekends at the local children’s hospital, spending time in the child life atrium to bring comfort and play to young patients. These experiences deeply affirmed her calling: to become a chiropractor and help children with neurological disorders have a better quality of life.
Dr. Krantz’s academic path reflects her dedication and drive. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors College of Charleston, earning both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts on the pre-med track. She then continued her education at Life University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
With a clinical focus on pregnancy, postpartum, and pediatric care, Dr. Krantz brings specialized expertise and compassion to every patient she serves. She has completed hundred of hours of additional training in pediatric and perinatal care, working toward her diplomate with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and is certified in the Webster Technique, a specialized method designed to optimize pelvic alignment and comfort during pregnancy. Her care is centered on supporting families at every stage of life.
After graduation, Dr. Krantz joined her father at Krantz Chiropractic Clinic, where he has been serving the community for over 48 years. Together, they’ve created a true family practice—where generations are cared for under one roof, and where patients range from one day old to 101 years young. Their shared mission is clear: to provide whole-body, compassionate care in a warm and welcoming environment.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Krantz serves her community as a doula and a CPR instructor for the American Heart Association. Her work reflects a lifelong devotion to health, service, and healing—anchored by her own story and the values instilled in her from an early age.
As she continues to grow in her profession, Dr. Samantha Krantz remains grounded in the love of her family, the legacy of her father, and the memory of her brother. Her journey is one of passion, purpose, and unwavering dedication to making a difference in the lives of others—especially the youngest and most vulnerable among us.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a very special path paved before me, thanks in large part to my father. He instilled in me the values of hard work, service, and determination from a young age—principles that became the foundation for everything I’ve pursued. But even with that strong support, the journey hasn’t always been easy.
Chiropractic school is one of the most demanding academic paths I’ve experienced. Each quarter pushed us to manage over ten classes and labs in just eleven weeks, repeated across 14 quarters. It tested not only my academic endurance but also my emotional and physical resilience.
During school, I worked three jobs—not because I had to, but because I wanted to continue serving others through my roles in CPR instruction, holocaust education with the Charleston Jewish Federation, research specialist with the Medical University of South Carolina, and doula work. Those experiences taught me how to manage my time, honor my commitments, and keep growing, even when the pace was relentless.
I was honored to be awarded the Presidential Scholarship from Life University for my dedication to research, with my work being published in the top neurology journal in the world. That recognition meant so much to me, not just academically, but personally—it validated the long hours and sacrifices that went into my education and my mission.
Throughout it all, I’ve held close two powerful lessons: one from my father, who always said, “If you do, love, and serve out of abundance, everything else will fall into place,” and one from my mentor, Anita Zucker. She taught me that perseverance, hard work, and even loss can be transformed into purpose. After losing my older brother at a young age, those words helped me turn my pain into a legacy of care, particularly for children facing neurological challenges.
No, the road hasn’t always been smooth—but it’s been deeply meaningful. Every struggle has shaped me into the doctor I am today, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
As you know, we’re big fans of Krantz Chiropractic Clinic. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Krantz Chiropractic Clinic is more than just a place for spinal adjustments—it’s a legacy, a family, and a mission. Located on Canton Road since 1978, our clinic was founded by my father, Dr. Andrew Krantz, who opened its doors with nothing more than a dream, a relentless work ethic, and—quite literally—holes in his shoes. From humble beginnings, he built a practice dedicated to healing, education, and service. Nearly five decades later, I had the privilege of joining him as a second-generation chiropractor, and together we’ve expanded our reach and impact in the community.
As a father-daughter duo, we bring over 55 years of combined experience to our practice, blending traditional chiropractic wisdom with modern, evidence-informed techniques. Our clinic is known for being family-centered and multi-generational—we regularly treat patients from just one day old to 101 years young.
We specialize in a wide range of services, with an emphasis on neurological and spinal health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pediatric care, and accident rehabilitation. I specialize in pediatrics, prenatal, and postpartum care, while my father focuses on spinal health, disc injuries, and car accident recovery. Our passion for healthcare also stems from our backgrounds as former paramedics and EMTs, and we continue to serve as CPR instructors for the American Heart Association—a testament to our commitment to community education and emergency preparedness.
At Krantz Chiropractic Clinic, we combine advanced modalities with hands-on care to offer a personalized healing experience. Some of our services include:
Back on Trac spinal decompression
Knee on Trac
Cold laser therapy
Red light therapy
Wobble chair therapy
Customized pregnancy protocols
Webster-certified care for prenatal alignment
Computerized spinal decompression
What truly sets us apart is not just what we do—but how we do it. This clinic was built on love, legacy, and lifelong learning. My father, Dr. Andrew Krantz, has been a faculty member at Life University since 1976 and has taught every graduate who has passed through the university. He served as President of the Board of Chiropractic Examiners and now acts as Vice President and Chairman of the Investigational Committee, advocating for integrity and excellence in the field.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the heart behind the Krantz name. We are not a volume-based, one-size-fits-all practice. We treat every patient like family, and our approach reflects decades of trusted care passed from one generation to the next. In just the past three years since I joined the clinic, we’ve doubled our outreach and impact—reaffirming the need for authentic, compassionate, whole-body chiropractic care in our community.
Whether you’re a new mom navigating postpartum, a child facing neurological challenges, baby torticollis, or someone recovering from a car accident, we’re here to support you on your healing journey. At Krantz Chiropractic Clinic, we don’t just treat symptoms—we build relationships, restore function, and honor the incredible design of the human body. We accept most forms of insurance to allow for accessibility to our care.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Yes—one of the most important things we want readers to know is how powerful and time-honored the chiropractic profession truly is. At Krantz Chiropractic Clinic, we don’t just treat pain—we support the body’s innate intelligence to heal, thrive, and adapt through all of life’s stages.
