Meet Sara Weirich and Miriam Ahmad of High Hopes Children’s Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Weirich and Miriam Ahmad.

High Hopes Children’s Therapy is a mother-daughter owned business.

Sara is a pediatric occupational therapist and her mother, Miriam is a retired registered nurse who is educated in billing and coding and handles all managerial aspects for High Hopes Children’s Therapy. This mother daughter duo is originally from Virginia. Sara moved away from her family to pursue her dreams of becoming an Occupational Therapist and attended Brenau University, a top rated private school located in Gainesville, GA. Once Sara graduated with her Masters in Occupational Therapy she entered into the field of pediatrics and fell in love with her job. Sara’s family had the opportunity to move to GA and they jumped on the opportunity in order to be closer to their daughter, finding a home to live in with a 2 week time frame. Sara and her mother decided they would partner and open up a pediatric therapy business together. As soon as Miriam moved to GA (which was in 2014) she enrolled in school to educate herself on how to run a therapy business and become educated in billing and coding. Miriam is experienced in all aspects of healthcare as she used to be a registered nurse in Virginia.

She has worked in all areas ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and became a quality insurance director. Miriam left a high paying job in order to pursue her dreams of opening a business with her daughter. Now, the mother and daughter operate High Hopes Children’s Therapy providing occupational therapy services to children’s homes, daycares, churches, and private schools. They plan on opening their first clinic in 2018, however will still provide their travel based services to her clients. The feedback that this business has gotten is unbelievable! Through word of mouth they continue to help more and more children around the Northern regions of Atlanta. They have a 5 star rating!

High Hopes Children’s Therapy provides pediatric occupational therapy.

We bring the clinic to your home! We travel with a “on-the-go travel swing to help facilitate integrating a child’s sensory system along with improving their overall motor functions!

We offer to come to the child, which saves families travel time to and from therapies!

We are known for address all areas of functioning and help children gain more independence in areas of daily living. We work on skills such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and home management skills. A child is able to learn these skills in their natural environment which improves carry over at home/schools and makes it much more manageable for families and teachers!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We see High Hopes Children’s Therapy opening several clinics all around Atlanta in order to offer both clinic based services and while still providing home based services.

We plan to hire Speech therapist, Physical Therapist, and Applied Behavioral Therapist.
