Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Davis.
Sarah, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started Olive.You.Nanny in 2005. I was living in Chicago and really noticed a need for a personal service in terms of the nanny search. I had been a nanny for the previous 8 years and decided to take the leap! I wanted to bring a new approach to the nanny industry. My goal then and still to this day is to make this process very personal. For example: we meet each family in their homes, talk about their lives, their approach, parenting styles and determine what kind of nanny they will need.
We also take a very personal approach with our nannies. We want them to feel like we have their back and that they can call us with any questions, anytime. Olive.You.Nanny is a boutique style agency that builds relationships.
Now 12 years later, we are in 5 cities (soon to be 7!) and continue to grow. Our mission is still the same, a personalized approach. After 10 years in Atlanta we are still thrilled to be helping families and will continue to do so!
I reside in Austin TX with my 3 kiddos and husband.
Has it been a smooth road?
After 12 years… yes, of course there has been bumps in the road. But I have to say I have an awesome team and we all get through it together! I think owning your own business, no matter what it is comes with its challenges. There really is no such thing as a vacation, I took 2 weeks off for each child I had and I work every Sunday. HOWEVER, I never miss a soccer game, baseball game, school play or anything else that ultimately is much more important to me. Even though it can be very stressful, I wouldn’t change a thing!

I pride my business on getting to really know people. We are basically match makers and with that you need to be really great at reading people. I know immediately when I meet someone what kind of nanny they are. I can tell by body language, tone in their voice, the way they talk about other people. This comes with practice and experience. I think we stand on our own with this approach.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
YES!!! We have been in business in Atlanta for 10 years and keep on growing! There are so many areas in Atlanta and we can really help everyone!
