Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Linebaugh.
Sarah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My background is in motion graphic design and projection mapping for live events. I’ve always had a creative bent and was pretty artistic growing up, but I also have always been interested in the technical side of things. I started shooting and editing videos from a pretty early age, and my love of blending creativity with technology has only grown from there. Along the way, I met my husband and business partner, Nick, who also has a background in live events and toured as a roadie video engineer. After landing in Atlanta, we started MEPTIK because we wanted to work together to merge creativity and technology in live spaces.
Has it been a smooth road?
Being a technology-focused creative agency in the Southeast has its advantages and its challenges. While we’re not in the New York or LA market, saturating our local community has been awesome. Learning the region and finding ways to jump in have opened many doors for MEPTIK as a business.
We’d love to hear more about your company.
We’re an experiential design agency; we combine creativity and technology to make meaningful experiences for our clients. We specialize in projection mapping, augmented and extended reality, interactive installations and content creation. As a company, we’re most proud of making a name for ourselves in our region and being involved in every aspect of the projects we work on, from ideation to completion. Relationships and trust are at the center of everything we work on and that’s always set us apart from other creative agencies.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Atlanta is changing rapidly, and there has been a huge focus on the arts in the last several years. It’s been great to be a part of that. Being one of the few experiential design companies in the southeast gives us a certain advantage over other over-saturated markets, like New York & LA, though there have been occasions where we aren’t thought of first because we aren’t in those cities. Overall, though, we feel like the advantages outweigh any disadvantages. We love ATL, we are proud to be from this city, and are so excited to be part of the creative network here.
